Opposition might be great, but our God is always greater!

As we continue to send out our outreach teams daily, we are also getting back some encouraging reports. Recently, one of our leaders was stopped by the police while distributing in mail boxes fliers to order free gospel literature. An officer who stopped him was religious and was visibly outraged and angry when he saw the nature of those fliers.

He called for backup assuming V. had broken the law.

When back up arrived, this officer was actually informed by the other officers that there’s nothing they can do because mission work is completely legal in Israel. The religious officer was visibly upset that he couldn’t do anything to stop it V.’s work. So they all got in their cars to drive off, when one of the officers, of an Ethiopian background, turned around when everybody was out of earshot and told V. “Well done! I’m glad you’re doing this.”

What an exciting moment it was to learn that despite the continuous opposition, God still has surprises in store and we discover that very likely this particular Ethiopian officer was a believer himself.

Opposition might be great, but our God is always greater!

The Lord himself said in Acts 18:10,

“Do not be afraid; keep on speaking, do not be silent. For I am with you, and no one is going to attack and harm you, because I have many people in this city.” God is definitely working behind the scenes in a powerful way we can’t sometimes imagine.
