Youth Visiting Children at the Hospital

A few weeks ago we took our youth to visit a children’s wing at a local hospital in Ashkelon. We stocked up on soft toys, candy and our finest smiles. It was so beautiful to see children’s faces light up when we came in with the gifts.

As much as it wonderful for the children to receive this outpouring of love, the youth was deeply touched by this visit. The opportunity to bring some light to that in need, especially children, really helped them develop a special kind of sensitivity and they are excited and eager to go back for more visits. There’s a lot of hurting people, many of them are innocent children that are eager to receive a caring smile, a loving hand, a prayer, an encouragement.

We are here to be that smile, that helping hand, that extension of your love. Your generosity, your prayers and care make a world of difference for many we come in contact with.

“Comfort, comfort my people, says your God…” (Isaiah 40:1)
