Happy Passover

Happy Passover

On this first day of Passover, Pastor Israel Pochtar shares from his home about what Passover means the people of Israel.  The first day is a day of celebration, day of prayer.

In Exodus 12 the blood of the sacrificial lamb was used as a sign of protection against death and a sign of covenant.  Isaiah builds on that in chapter 53 and refers to the Messiah as the sacrificial lamb of God.

When John the Baptist is at the Jordan and sees Yeshua coming he spoke the proclamation “Behold, the Lamb of the God, who will take away the sin of the world”. In the first book of Peter, chapter 1, “knowing that you were not redeemed with corruptible things, but with the blood of the Lamb”. Yeshua gave His life for us!

In the book of Revelation 5 : 9-10 John sees the multitudes worship and proclaim that the Lamb, who was slain, is worthy to open the scrolls. And He has redeemed them with His blood and has made them Kings and Priests to our God.

We as Messianic believers celebrate His Life and celebrate Him as our Passover Lamb in addition to the traditional Jewish Passover celebration!

Beit Hallel is a Messianic Jewish congregation in Ashdod, led by pastor Israel Pochtar, serving holocaust survivors and the poor and needy locally and throughout the nation of Israel, while building up the body of Messiah in the promised land of Israel.
