Pastor Israel Pochtar has taken time to go out into the fields around Ashdod, Israel, to talk to you about Pesach / Passover and the connection to Counting the Omer and the connection with dedicating the harvest to the Lord.
According to the Torah the Shabbat during the 7 days of Passover was an extra special Shabbat and the Sunday after it is the Feast of Dedication / Feast of First Fruits (also resurrection of Yeshua / Jesus). On this day the First Fruits of the Harvest are dedicated to God and it is the start for counting the Omer, the start of counting the 50 days until the Feast of Weeks (also Pentecost / Outpouring of the Holy Spirit).
Beit Hallel is a Messianic Jewish congregation in Ashdod, led by pastor Israel Pochtar, serving holocaust survivors and the poor and needy locally and throughout the nation of Israel, while building up the body of Messiah in the promised land of Israel.
