A voice of one calling: “In the wilderness prepare the way for the LORD; make straight in the desert a highway for our God.”
Isaiah 40:3
Isaiah prophesied about John the Baptist who was to come and prepare the way for Yeshua by announcing His arrival. You would think, how effective can one’s ministry be if it is done in the wilderness, where there’s barely anyone to hear?
Yet John the Baptist ministry was crucial, according to Isaiah 40:3.
Apparently God considers even a single voice that cries out to prepare the way for the Lord sufficient to set in motion life changing events.
This Passover we will be the voices calling in the wilderness, to make straight in the desert a highway for our God.
We will take young families to the desert to celebrate their very first Passover in Israel, and give them this life changing experience of hearing the gospel preached to them for the very first time in the wilderness, the way John the Baptist did when he went before Jesus and announced His arrival.
There’s something unique and special about the many different corners, sites, places, feasts and opportunities that Israel provides for us to reach people with the gospel. To be able to do that in the wilderness where we will be taking young families to celebrate their very first Passover Seder becomes absolutely transformative for many of them who hear the Message of Yeshua for the first time and encounter the Lord in the desert, that He said we are to make a highway for our God.
Pray and support our evangelism project such as this one in Israel!
Until “…all Israel shall be saved!”
