After intense weeks of preparations and gearing up for our annual women’s conference: Colors of a Woman’s Soul, we knew it had the potential to be an amazing event.
Little did we know that it would turn out to be so much more than an amazing event. It was a life-changing experience where God made Himself so present and real, that women had an opportunity to encounter the Lord in a new and intimate way.
It’s hard to describe the electric atmosphere in a place where over 200 women gathered seeking God with real hunger, allowing all their beautiful colors to shine through.
We had a large number of recently immigrated women in attendance who left behind their entire lives, the only home they knew, took their family and embarked on one of the most courageous journeys of their lives by making Aliyah to Israel. Those are the women that need our support the most.
A powerful testimony came from one of those precious women, Irina, who recently made Aliyah from Ukraine.
Irina was no stranger to our evangelism campaigns, she’s attended a few of them before. But she was a tough cookie, refusing to engage in any conversations about God. Isn’t it wonderful then that God doesn’t take NO for an answer?
One of our team members met her on the day of the conference randomly on the beach and invited her. She agreed to come. That’s all it takes for God to enter into someone’s heart; just one YES.
The conference had such an impact on Irina that she didn’t want to go home at the end, she felt so good and at peace, but mainly she couldn’t get enough and wanted to learn more about God.
In her words: “I felt something was keeping me there, I just felt loved, and I wanted to stay where I felt loved.”
Depression was something Irina was struggling with daily, and during the conference, she felt as though it was lifted and taken away from her. She said she also lost her sense of fear, and now all she wants is to know God deeper.
Talk about a 180° change!
That is a small glimpse into how impactful these conferences are, and how important they are for people who are seeking God (or even resisting Him!) — these events are divine opportunities to encounter the Lord and experience a life-changing transformation.
Thanks to your support of our evangelism outreach campaigns, women’s ministry and discipleship programs, we are able to reach so many people with the gospel and provide them with the opportunity to meet Jesus right where they are.
