Supporting Aliyah and the Return of the Jewish People
It’s impossible to read the Bible without encountering promise after promise of God’s restoration of Israel. The emphasis is always on the return of the people of Israel to their Land.
Even after all these years since Israel’s establishment, Jewish people from all over the world are still returning to Israel, fulfilling biblical prophecies.
However, the practical aspect of that move is oftentimes overlooked in favor of a more spiritual focus. The challenges and difficulties new Olim face when first making the move to uproot their families and come to Israel are staggering and too many to count.
That’s where we come in.
God is the God of partnerships. He has done for us what we could never do for ourselves. But then He gave us the mandate to go and be His messengers in this world, through word and deed.
Taking care of people is a way to show who God truly is to those who don’t know Him. Especially when it’s Jewish people returning to their ancient homeland after 2,000 years in exile.
When arriving in Israel many families are facing a new set of challenges related to their kids starting school for the first time in Israel. The first thought is: how are they going to provide them with the school supplies for the upcoming school year?
Our “First Time to School in Israel” summer project seeks to provide these families with backpacks, school supplies and textbooks for the new school year. Most of these Olim kids will be starting for the first time in Israel.
This is one of the many ways you can be involved in supporting the return of Jewish people to Israel, through practical projects like these that aim to provide a practical solution to families that are taking their first steps in Israel.
