Ministering with Kindness
In two weeks the summer vacation will be over for almost 2 million Israeli kids who will be going back to their classes.
As exciting as that is for most kids, there are those that face it with dread and uncertainty, because they will be starting the school year in Israel for the first time.
Imagine leaving the only life you knew behind, coming to a new country, not knowing the language, having to make new friends, all while your parents are struggling to provide you with even a new school backpack and school supplies.
That’s the reality for most children of new Olim families that have made Aliyah to Israel recently.
One of the ways to support Aliyah and returning Jews to Israel is through practical help provided via projects such as “First time to School in Israel”. It is aimed at supporting newly immigrated families with small kids by blessing them with school supplies and backpacks before the start of the school year on September 1st.
The testimonies we heard last year were so moving, from single mothers who were thanking us with tears in their eyes because their prayers were answered and their kids were blessed with the backpack and school supplies they weren’t able to purchase otherwise.
The ministry of kindness is a crucial important one, because it shows people that God is not just real, but also the depth of His love by providing for their needs as a true Father would.
Time is running out! We now have 10 last families we want to be able to bless, and with your donation of $100 per family, or a generous seed of $1000 — we’ll be able to reach our goal in providing every child in need with a school backpack and supplies!
