A Divine Appointment in Jerusalem:
Anna’s Story

One of the greatest privileges of serving on Beit Hallel’s outreach team is witnessing how God prepares hearts long before we ever arrive. Every conversation, every invitation, and every step of obedience creates an opportunity for the Lord to work in someone’s life. Sometimes those opportunities come during organized outreaches. Sometimes they happen during congregational events. And sometimes they appear unexpectedly in the middle of an ordinary day on the streets of Jerusalem.

Recently, members of our outreach team were walking through the Muslim Quarter of Jerusalem’s Old City when they stopped to speak with a woman selling spices and herbs from a small market stall. What began as a friendly conversation soon became something far more significant.

As they got to know her, they learned that her name was Anna, that she had originally come from Russia, and that she had been living in Jerusalem for some time. She explained that she was not a Muslim, though she had found acceptance among the people around her and was simply trying to build a life for herself in the city.

As the conversation continued, our team sensed a genuine openness in her heart.

Before leaving, one of the team members gave Anna a small card containing a prayer of repentance in Hebrew. He shared how God had used that same prayer years earlier as part of his own journey to faith in Yeshua. Immediately, Anna became curious and asked what the prayer said.

Standing there in the middle of the marketplace, our team began reading through the prayer with her. Line by line, they translated and explained its meaning. As they shared the message of salvation and God’s love, it became clear that this was no longer simply a conversation—it was a divine appointment.

Soon two additional believers joined the conversation, and together they prayed with Anna.

With tears streaming down her face, she repeated the prayer and opened her heart to Yeshua. Those present were deeply moved as they witnessed God touching her life in such a powerful way. Right there among the merchants, visitors, and busy activity of the Old City, another soul encountered the love and grace of the Messiah.

As the prayer came to an end, tears gave way to joy. The atmosphere was filled with peace, gratitude, and celebration. Even people passing through the marketplace noticed that something special was taking place. One man walking by with his young daughter stopped to observe the moment. Sharing in the joy of what had happened, they congratulated Anna and even asked to take a photograph with the group.

Before parting ways, our outreach team arranged to meet with Anna again so they could continue walking alongside her, studying the Scriptures together, answering her questions, and helping her grow in her new faith. What began as a simple conversation became the beginning of a new journey with the Lord.

Stories like Anna’s remind us why outreach remains such an important part of Beit Hallel’s ministry.

Every week, our team goes into communities across Israel, sharing the hope of Yeshua, building relationships, and creating opportunities for people to encounter Him personally. While we never know where God is preparing a heart, we know He continues to open doors for the Gospel in remarkable ways.

Please join us in praying for Anna. Pray that the seeds planted that day will grow deep roots and produce lasting fruit. Pray also for our outreach team as they continue serving as faithful witnesses throughout Israel, bringing the hope of Yeshua to those God places in their path.

Thank you for standing with us through your prayers and support. Together, we are seeing lives transformed, one person at a time.

Strengthening the Shepherds—Jewish Arab Conference at the Sea of Galilee

Most people see pastors standing behind pulpits, leading congregations, teaching the Word, praying for the sick, comforting the hurting, and carrying the spiritual burdens of others. Every year, as summer approaches, parents begin making plans for how their children will spend their time. Vacations are scheduled. Camps are organized. Encouraging Our Pastoral Family in Eilat

Pastors spend much of their lives encouraging others. They pray with families, guide people through difficult seasons, teach the Scriptures, and help believers grow in their faith. Yet those who faithfully shepherd others also need moments to step away from their daily responsibilities, share their hearts, and receive encouragement themselves. Recently, Pastor Israel traveled to […]

Until All Israel Hears —
The Good News Project

Nearly two thousand years ago, the Good News of Yeshua began spreading from Jerusalem to the nations. This November, believers from those nations will come to Israel to stand alongside our Beit Hallel team, sharing that same message in the streets of the very land where it all began. There is something deeply meaningful about […]

Where He Walked, They Prayed:
200 Israelis Encounter the Gospel at Magdala

There are places in Israel where the stories of the Bible suddenly feel very close. Magdala, on the shores of the Sea of Galilee, is one of them. Recently, we brought 200 Israelis to this ancient town, where Yeshua (Jesus) ministered in the surrounding region nearly 2,000 years ago. We wanted them to discover more […]

The Stones Are Ancient:
The Gospel Still Changes Lives

Some places carry a history that time cannot erase. Hebrew Word of the Week:
B’yadcha (בְּיָדְךָ) —
Into Your Hand

Some things are simply beyond our control. We can pray, make wise decisions, do everything we know to do, and still reach a point where the outcome is no longer in our hands. This can be one of the hardest places for us, because we naturally want to know what is going to happen and […]
