A Hanukkah Praise Report —
Thankful for What God Has Done

We want to begin with a sincere word of thanks to everyone who stood with Beit Hallel during this Hanukkah outreach. Your prayers, generosity, and faithfulness made it possible for us to bless Jewish immigrant children and their families in a very meaningful way.

We do not take this partnership for granted, and we are deeply thankful for your support.

This Hanukkah celebration was created with families in mind — especially those who have recently immigrated to Israel and are still finding their footing. Many are navigating new challenges, learning a new language, and trying to provide stability for their children while starting over in a new country. During the holiday season, these pressures can feel even heavier.

Through this project, we were able to welcome 400 Jewish immigrant children together with their parents. For many families, this was their first Hanukkah in the land of Israel. Children received joyful Hanukkah gift packs filled with treats and toys, and parents were blessed with food baskets that allowed them to celebrate the holiday at home with dignity and peace of mind.

What stood out to us most was the response of the families.

Parents shared how much it meant to see their children so happy, and how encouraged they felt knowing they were not alone. There were many quiet moments of gratitude — smiles, conversations, and simple words of thanks that reminded us why this work matters.

At Beit Hallel, we believe that caring for children also means honoring their parents and strengthening the family as a whole. This Hanukkah outreach reflected that value by meeting both emotional and practical needs in a season that is meant to be joyful, yet can be difficult for families under strain.

Once again, we want to say thank you to everyone who partnered with us for this Hanukkah project.

Because of you, hundreds of families experienced warmth, care, and encouragement during this special time. We are grateful to walk this journey together and to serve the people of Israel with you.

What Came First — Hanukkah or Christmas?

Every year during this season, many people ask a simple but meaningful question: What came first — Hanukkah or Christmas? Here in Israel, the answer is clear. Hanukkah came first — and even Jesus Himself celebrated Hanukkah. In John 10:22, Scripture tells us that Jesus traveled from Galilee to Jerusalem to celebrate the Feast of […]

A Different Story Is Being Written in Israel

If you follow the news, it is easy to feel discouraged. Most headlines coming out of Israel speak about division, fear, anger, and deep mistrust. Social media often makes this even louder, highlighting extremes and leaving little room for compassion or hope. But here on the ground, another story is also being written. This week, […]

From Uncertainty to Hope —
Alex’s Story

Alex, who lives in Jerusalem, first met Chaim during one of our humanitarian projects in the city. While many people passed through that day, Chaim and Alex took time to speak, and a genuine connection formed between them. During their conversation, Chaim sensed that Alex was carrying deeper questions about his life and future, and […]

Bringing the Light of the Gospel to Israel This Hanukkah and Christmas

As Hanukkah approaches and Christmas draws near, we sense that this season carries unusual weight. These are weeks that speak of light and hope, yet here in Israel, many people are living with fear, loss, and deep exhaustion. Almost every family has been affected by the war in some way, and many are quietly searching […]

Strengthening the Hands That Serve:
Encouraging Our Pastoral Family in Eilat

Pastors spend much of their lives encouraging others. They pray with families, guide people through difficult seasons, teach the Scriptures, and help believers grow in their faith. Yet those who faithfully shepherd others also need moments to step away from their daily responsibilities, share their hearts, and receive encouragement themselves. Recently, Pastor Israel traveled to […]

Until All Israel Hears —
The Good News Project

Nearly two thousand years ago, the Good News of Yeshua began spreading from Jerusalem to the nations. This November, believers from those nations will come to Israel to stand alongside our Beit Hallel team, sharing that same message in the streets of the very land where it all began. There is something deeply meaningful about […]

One Family’s Journey of Aliyah, Resilience, and Belonging

“We have nowhere left to return to. We’ve already returned. Home.” These are Olga’s words, and they tell us something about the family we’ve come to know through our work at Beit Hallel. Where He Walked, They Prayed:
200 Israelis Encounter the Gospel at Magdala

There are places in Israel where the stories of the Bible suddenly feel very close. Magdala, on the shores of the Sea of Galilee, is one of them. Recently, we brought 200 Israelis to this ancient town, where Yeshua (Jesus) ministered in the surrounding region nearly 2,000 years ago. We wanted them to discover more […]

The Stones Are Ancient:
The Gospel Still Changes Lives

Some places carry a history that time cannot erase. Along the shores of the Sea of Galilee, ancient stones still bear witness to the world Yeshua walked through—the villages where He taught, the people He encountered, and the lives that were forever changed by meeting Him.  As we prepare to welcome 200 Israelis to the […]

Hebrew Word of the Week:
B’yadcha (בְּיָדְךָ) —
Into Your Hand

Some things are simply beyond our control. We can pray, make wise decisions, do everything we know to do, and still reach a point where the outcome is no longer in our hands. This can be one of the hardest places for us, because we naturally want to know what is going to happen and […]
