A Harvest of Discipleship in Ashkelon

God is Moving—and Lives Are Being Changed!

We’re so excited to share an encouraging update from our outreach and discipleship work in Ashkelon. It’s a beautiful picture of what God is doing—thanks to your prayers, support, and standing with us.

Ashkelon is a city that’s been through a lot. But even in the middle of challenges and uncertainty, God is doing something amazing. People are opening their hearts to Him, and the Gospel is taking root.

Every week, our team—led by Haim and some incredible local volunteers—goes out to connect with people. Some come through our evangelism events, others through relief efforts, and many just through everyday encounters. We pray with them, talk about Jesus, offer practical help, and simply show God’s love.

And little by little, God is working in hearts and bringing change.

Not long ago, we launched an Alpha Course in Ashkelon to help people go deeper in their questions about faith. And wow—God showed up in a big way. Two married couples we had connected with months earlier suddenly walked in, ready to explore more. They had heard about God before, but now they were truly seeking. One of these couples—Sergey and Natalia—is now part of our weekly services and growing in their walk with the Lord.

One of the most touching stories is of Lena, a woman we met during an outreach. She had pain in her leg, and we prayed a simple prayer with her. God healed her. That moment touched her deeply. She started asking about faith, joined the Alpha Course, and now she’s fully part of the fellowship. Even better—she’s started serving with the Alpha team! She told us, “I feel like I’ve been born again. I believe in God, and I’m so thankful—my life has truly changed.”

Another woman, Irina, who we had once ministered to in Jerusalem, recently moved to Ashkelon. We helped connect her with local believers right away. She joined Alpha too and is now growing steadily in her faith journey.

These aren’t just nice stories—they’re real-life examples of what happens when love, prayer, and discipleship come together. God is healing hearts, restoring lives, and building His Kingdom here in Israel. People are not just hearing about Jesus—they’re following Him, serving Him, and sharing Him with others.

Jesus said it clearly in Luke:

“The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest to send out workers into His harvest field.”

Luke 10:2

That’s what we’re seeing right now—the harvest is real, and it’s growing. We’re so thankful for each one of you who’s praying, giving, and cheering us on. You’re a part of every changed life, every healing, and every new believer finding their place in God’s family.

Let’s keep going together—there’s so much more ahead!

Standing Together with Syrian Druze

Reaching Across Borders with Compassion In the last few weeks, we’ve been hearing heart-wrenching stories coming out of Syria—specifically about the suffering of the Druze community in the southern region near Suwayda. These families, many of them caught in the chaos of violence and instability, are facing persecution, poverty, and a growing humanitarian crisis. Their […]

From Ashes to Beauty

Just a few days ago, the hills around Jerusalem were covered in thick smoke and glowing with flames. A small spark turned into the biggest wildfire Israel has ever seen. Whole national parks were burned down. Beautiful forests that had stood for decades were turned into ashes. It was heartbreaking to see. What was once […]

Shavuot Evangelism in Jerusalem

Sowing Hope, Reaping Salvation As Shavuot approaches, there’s a real sense of excitement and expectation in our hearts. It’s not just because of what the feast represents, but because of what we believe God is about to do right here in Israel—even in the middle of conflict, grief, and uncertainty. Shavuot, also known as the […]

Strengthening the Hands That Serve:
Encouraging Our Pastoral Family in Eilat

Pastors spend much of their lives encouraging others. They pray with families, guide people through difficult seasons, teach the Scriptures, and help believers grow in their faith. Yet those who faithfully shepherd others also need moments to step away from their daily responsibilities, share their hearts, and receive encouragement themselves. Recently, Pastor Israel traveled to […]

Until All Israel Hears —
The Good News Project

Nearly two thousand years ago, the Good News of Yeshua began spreading from Jerusalem to the nations. This November, believers from those nations will come to Israel to stand alongside our Beit Hallel team, sharing that same message in the streets of the very land where it all began. There is something deeply meaningful about […]

One Family’s Journey of Aliyah, Resilience, and Belonging

“We have nowhere left to return to. We’ve already returned. Home.” These are Olga’s words, and they tell us something about the family we’ve come to know through our work at Beit Hallel. Since arriving in Israel, Olga and her family have experienced the joy of welcoming a new baby, the challenges of starting over, […]

Where He Walked, They Prayed:
200 Israelis Encounter the Gospel at Magdala

There are places in Israel where the stories of the Bible suddenly feel very close. Magdala, on the shores of the Sea of Galilee, is one of them. Recently, we brought 200 Israelis to this ancient town, where Yeshua (Jesus) ministered in the surrounding region nearly 2,000 years ago. We wanted them to discover more […]

The Stones Are Ancient:
The Gospel Still Changes Lives

Some places carry a history that time cannot erase. Along the shores of the Sea of Galilee, ancient stones still bear witness to the world Yeshua walked through—the villages where He taught, the people He encountered, and the lives that were forever changed by meeting Him.  As we prepare to welcome 200 Israelis to the […]

Hebrew Word of the Week:
B’yadcha (בְּיָדְךָ) —
Into Your Hand

Some things are simply beyond our control. We can pray, make wise decisions, do everything we know to do, and still reach a point where the outcome is no longer in our hands. This can be one of the hardest places for us, because we naturally want to know what is going to happen and […]
