This Christmas, we had the incredible privilege of witnessing God’s hand at work during our evangelism outreach in Ashkelon.
The event was nothing short of miraculous, as we saw the Gospel return to the very land where it first spread. It was a powerful reminder of God’s unwavering faithfulness and His unchanging plan for all of humanity. The message of Yeshua—the message that has transformed the world—was once again reaching the hearts of the people of Israel, the land where it all began.
Our follow-up team had the honor of ministering to individuals who were struggling with burdens, pain, and a desperate need for peace. One moment in particular stood out as a testament to the power of prayer and the presence of God in our midst. A woman named Olga approached our follow-up team, visibly distressed and overwhelmed with anxiety about her children who were in Ukraine. Desperately seeking comfort, she asked for prayer. As we prayed, the peace of Christ enveloped Olga in a tangible way.
Tears of worry were replaced by a glowing face of joy and peace—a transformation that left us in awe.
Soon after, another woman named Yulia, moved by what she had witnessed, came forward, saying, “I want to receive what she received.” She shared that, like Olga, she had been tormented by sleepless nights and worries over her children in Ukraine. With compassion, we prayed for her, explaining that true peace comes only through a relationship with Yeshua. As we prayed, she opened her heart to the Lord, and we saw the same remarkable transformation.
Her face, once clouded with worry, now radiated peace.
These moments serve as a powerful reminder of why it is so crucial to continue sharing the gospel with the people of Israel. Hearts are open, and God’s Spirit is moving in profound ways. People are recognizing that the true peace and salvation they long for can only be found in Yeshua, the Messiah. It is an honor to be a part of this revival, seeing lives changed as they embrace the hope that Christmas represents.
The transformations we witnessed were undeniable. Olga, who had suffered from crippling anxiety and insomnia, came back to us after the prayer with a radiant smile. She said, “After the prayer, joy came to me.” We smiled and responded, “This is what Christmas is all about—God’s joy and peace entering our hearts through Yeshua.”
The people who left that day were different from the ones who arrived.
They walked away filled with a peace and joy that only Jesus can provide. It was an unforgettable privilege to lead these women in a prayer of repentance and see them take their first steps in their journey with the Lord. Their lives, like so many others, were touched by the life-changing power of the gospel.
This is the true hope of Christmas: the light of the world, Jesus, shining into the darkness and bringing hope to those who need it most. As Isaiah reminds us:
The people walking in darkness have seen a great light; on those living in the land of deep darkness a light has dawned.
Isaiah 9:2
We ask that you continue to pray with us for the people of Israel, that many more may come to know the One who brings true peace, joy, and salvation. The work we are doing here is vital, and it is a privilege to be part of God’s redemptive plan for His people.
Together, we are helping to bring His light into the darkness, one heart at a time.
