A Place at the Table: Finding Belonging in God’s Family

One of the most beautiful things about following Yeshua is discovering that faith was never meant to be lived alone. Throughout Scripture, God continually gathers people into community—people who encourage one another, pray together, grow together, and walk side by side through every season of life.

This past week, our congregation enjoyed a special gathering that beautifully reflected that truth.

Members of our follow-up team—Sergey, Miriam, and Lena—spent time connecting with individuals who have received Yeshua as their Lord and Savior, and who’ve begun taking the next steps in their faith journey. It was a day filled with joyful fellowship, meaningful conversations, prayer, encouragement, and the simple blessing of being together as one family in the Lord.

Pastor Israel shared words of encouragement and prayed with those in attendance, inviting everyone to continue growing deeper in their relationship with Yeshua. As part of that journey, many were invited to participate in our “Follow Yeshua” discipleship course, where they will continue studying God’s Word together and building strong foundations of faith.

While the fellowship, food, and conversations made the day memorable, one particular moment reminded us why gatherings like these matter so much.

A couple, Lev and Miriam, joined us for the first time after being invited by one of our congregation families. Although they have lived in Israel for more than thirty years, they had never visited one of our events before. As the afternoon unfolded, they were warmly welcomed into conversations, introduced to new friends, and surrounded by genuine care and hospitality.

Throughout the gathering, they observed people praying for one another, encouraging one another, and sharing life together. What stood out to them was not a program or an event—it was the atmosphere of love and unity they encountered.

As they prepared to leave, they shared something that deeply touched our hearts.

They told us that despite living in Israel for decades, they had rarely seen such a close-knit community—a group of people who genuinely cared for one another like family. Before leaving, they asked to be invited to future gatherings, fellowships, and picnics because they wanted to experience more of this special community.

Their words reminded us of a powerful truth: people are often searching for more than information. They are searching for belonging. In a world where loneliness has become increasingly common, authentic community can be one of the most powerful expressions of God’s love.

The early believers understood this well. Scripture tells us:

“They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer… All the believers were together and had everything in common.”

Acts 2:42,44

That same spirit continues to touch lives today. When people encounter genuine love, sincere friendship, and a community centered on Yeshua, hearts begin to open in ways that no argument or presentation ever could.

We thank God for His faithfulness and for every opportunity He gives us to serve the people of Israel during this significant season. As the Lord continues drawing people to Himself, we pray that Beit Hallel will remain a place where individuals and families encounter not only biblical truth, but also the warmth, care, and belonging of God’s family.

Thank you for standing with us in prayer and partnership. Together, we are creating spaces where lives are touched, friendships are formed, faith is strengthened, and people discover that they are never alone.

Strengthening the Hands That Serve:
Encouraging Our Pastoral Family in Eilat

Pastors spend much of their lives encouraging others. They pray with families, guide people through difficult seasons, teach the Scriptures, and help believers grow in their faith. Yet those who faithfully shepherd others also need moments to step away from their daily responsibilities, share their hearts, and receive encouragement themselves. Recently, Pastor Israel traveled to […]

Until All Israel Hears —
The Good News Project

Nearly two thousand years ago, the Good News of Yeshua began spreading from Jerusalem to the nations. This November, believers from those nations will come to Israel to stand alongside our Beit Hallel team, sharing that same message in the streets of the very land where it all began. There is something deeply meaningful about […]

One Family’s Journey of Aliyah, Resilience, and Belonging

“We have nowhere left to return to. We’ve already returned. Home.” These are Olga’s words, and they tell us something about the family we’ve come to know through our work at Beit Hallel. Since arriving in Israel, Olga and her family have experienced the joy of welcoming a new baby, the challenges of starting over, […]

Where He Walked, They Prayed:
200 Israelis Encounter the Gospel at Magdala

There are places in Israel where the stories of the Bible suddenly feel very close. Magdala, on the shores of the Sea of Galilee, is one of them. Recently, we brought 200 Israelis to this ancient town, where Yeshua (Jesus) ministered in the surrounding region nearly 2,000 years ago. We wanted them to discover more […]

The Stones Are Ancient:
The Gospel Still Changes Lives

Some places carry a history that time cannot erase. Along the shores of the Sea of Galilee, ancient stones still bear witness to the world Yeshua walked through—the villages where He taught, the people He encountered, and the lives that were forever changed by meeting Him.  As we prepare to welcome 200 Israelis to the […]

Hebrew Word of the Week:
B’yadcha (בְּיָדְךָ) —
Into Your Hand

Some things are simply beyond our control. We can pray, make wise decisions, do everything we know to do, and still reach a point where the outcome is no longer in our hands. This can be one of the hardest places for us, because we naturally want to know what is going to happen and […]
