Every month in Jerusalem, something deeply precious takes place around simple tables filled with food, fellowship, prayer, and heartfelt conversation. Tens of Holocaust survivors gather together with us — men and women who have carried unimaginable pain, loss, and memories through some of history’s darkest chapters. Many of them now live quiet and lonely lives, often forgotten by society, surviving on very limited means and longing not only for practical support, but for human warmth, dignity, and genuine love.
When they walk into these gatherings, they are not treated like numbers or forgotten relics of the past.
They are embraced like family. We eat together, laugh together, listen to their stories, pray for them, and remind them that their lives still carry immense value and honor. For many, these meetings become one of the only places where they feel truly seen, appreciated, and surrounded by care. Some come carrying deep loneliness. Others come burdened by fear, grief, or fragile health. Yet little by little, through simple acts of compassion, hearts begin to open.
There is something profoundly holy about sitting beside these precious survivors in Jerusalem — hearing their stories, holding their hands, and sharing with them not only food and gifts, but the comfort and hope found in the love of God. Many of them grew up through war, atheism, persecution, and unimaginable suffering. Some have never truly heard about Yeshua in a personal and loving way. For others, these moments may be the very first time someone has prayed with them personally or spoken words of blessing and hope over their lives.
“Gray hair is a crown of splendor; it is attained in the way of righteousness.”
Proverbs 16:31
As time moves forward, we feel the urgency of these moments more deeply than ever. These survivors are living testimonies of history, but they are also living souls deeply loved by God. Many are now living on borrowed time. We do not know how many more opportunities we will have to sit with them, encourage them, pray for them, and share the love of the Messiah face to face. That reality makes every gathering sacred.
Through these monthly meetings, we provide a beautiful meal, fellowship, transportation assistance when needed, practical care, small gifts, and above all, a place where these precious people can experience dignity, kindness, and human connection again. The cost for one monthly gathering for approximately 50 Holocaust survivors is around $1,000. While that amount covers catering, gifts, and practical needs, what it truly creates is something far greater: a place of comfort, belonging, and hope in the final chapter of many lives.
Your support helps make these gatherings possible month after month.
Every gift becomes part of a table where lonely hearts are welcomed, prayers are lifted, tears are comforted, and survivors are reminded that they are not forgotten. In a world moving quickly past this generation, together we have the privilege of slowing down long enough to honor them with compassion and love.
Thank you for standing with us as we continue reaching these precious survivors in Jerusalem. Your generosity is helping create moments that carry eternal value — moments of dignity, healing, fellowship, and the living presence of God.
