A Time for Rest and Renewal: Cyprus Pastor’s Retreat

This December, we have a unique and heartfelt mission: to take 30 Israeli pastors and leaders out of the war zone and into a place of peace and restoration.

The retreat will take place on the serene island of Cyprus, offering a much-needed reprieve from the constant stress of war, bombs, and sirens that have defined this year.

For three days, these devoted men and women of God, who tirelessly serve their communities in Israel, will gather for a special conference. It will be a time of training, worship, and fellowship, set in an atmosphere of comfort and tranquility. This retreat is more than just a break—it is an opportunity for these leaders to be refreshed, encouraged, and equipped to continue their vital ministry work back home.

Why This Matters

The ongoing conflict in Israel has taken an emotional and spiritual toll on pastors and leaders who are at the forefront of serving their congregations. Many have been working relentlessly to provide hope, support, and guidance to those affected by the war. This retreat will give them a rare chance to step away from the chaos, to hear from the Lord in a peaceful environment, and to connect with fellow leaders who share their burdens and vision.

Isaiah 40:31 reminds us: “But those who wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run and not be weary; and they shall walk and not faint.“

This retreat is our way of helping these leaders find the renewal and strength they need to continue their work in the Kingdom.

How You Can Help

We are inviting you to partner with us in making this retreat a reality. The cost to sponsor one pastor or leader is $150. Your support will cover their travel, accommodations, meals, and participation in the conference.

Imagine the impact of your generosity:

  • A pastor experiencing uninterrupted worship for the first time in months.
  • A leader receiving encouragement and training to better serve their congregation.
  • A time of fellowship that fosters unity among Israeli leaders from different communities.

The Unexpected Encounter That Gave Marina Hope

Marina* came to our Sukkot celebration carrying a fear she could do nothing about. Her son was in prison in Ukraine, badly wounded, and she did not know what would happen to him. She had no idea that among the people she would meet that day was someone whose own story would touch hers in […]

The Work He Left In Our Hands —
Galilee Evangelism Campaign

Here in Israel, many people can know the names of biblical places and the stories connected with them — and still know very little about who Yeshua really is. For many of the new Jewish immigrants we meet, Israel itself is also new. They are building a life in a new country, discovering the land, […]

“Please Don’t Wait Too Long” —
Holocaust Survivors Project Report

Some of the Holocaust survivors who walked into our gathering in Ashdod already knew us. Others did not. We could see the hesitation on a few faces, and we understood it. They had been invited into a room with people they barely knew — and we were wondering how they would respond when we spoke […]

Inside the Sukkah:
Remembering the God Who Provides

One of the things I love about Sukkot is how many simple reminders of God’s faithfulness surround us during this Feast. We build the sukkah, we sit beneath its branches, we share meals together as families, and we remember something our people have needed to remember for thousands of years: everything we have ultimately comes […]

Hebrew Word of the Week:
Adonai Uzzi (יְהוָה עֻזִּי) —
The LORD Is My Strength

We all become tired sometimes, and I don’t mean only physically. There is another kind of tiredness that comes when you have been carrying something for a long time. You have prayed, you have tried to make the right decisions, you have kept going, but the situation has still not changed. After some time, you […]

“Don’t Forget Us. Come Again” —
Holocaust Survivors Praise Report

The Moroccan food was a hit. We had brought it from Ashdod for a gathering with Holocaust survivors in Jerusalem, and before long people around the tables were asking about our city. What is Ashdod like? Could they come visit sometime? We loved that. Somewhere between passing plates, talking across the table and getting to […]
