Anna’s Testimony —
When a Prayer Becomes a Miracle

Anna’s Testimony — When a Prayer Becomes a Miracle
Anna’s Testimony — When a Prayer Becomes a Miracle

In outreach, many moments pass quickly. A short conversation, a brief prayer, a face we may never see again. It can sometimes feel like these encounters disappear as soon as they happen. And yet, again and again, we are reminded that nothing offered in faith is ever lost. God is able to take even the simplest moment and carry it forward in ways we could never see at the time.

Recently, one of our associate pastors, Vasily, shared a testimony that quietly captures this reality and reminds us why we continue to go out, to pray, and to serve.

A few years ago, during one of our evangelistic gatherings, our team was praying for people who had come seeking encouragement. Among them was a woman named Anna. She approached Vasily gently and asked if he could pray for her.

As he began to pray, Anna opened her heart. She and her husband had been trying to have a child for a long time, but without success. Month after month, they had hoped and waited, yet nothing had changed. That day, her request was simple—she asked for prayer, that God would bless them with a child.

Vasily prayed for her right there, in the middle of the outreach, asking the Lord to hear her and answer her desire. Then the moment passed. The gathering ended, people went their separate ways, and like so many encounters in ministry, it seemed to be one of many prayers offered in faith, with no way of knowing what would come next.

Time went on. Then, some years later, their paths crossed again—unexpectedly. This time, Anna was not standing alone. She was holding a small child in her arms.

With quiet joy, she approached Vasily and said, “A few years ago you prayed for me. We had been trying to have a child for a long time. After that prayer, God answered us, and this is our son.”

In that moment, what once seemed like a brief and passing encounter was revealed in a completely different light. The prayer had not been forgotten. God had heard it, carried it, and in His time, answered it.

For both Anna and Vasily, it became a gentle reminder that the Lord still listens. He still responds. And He is still at work in ways we often cannot see.

Stories like this help us understand something important about evangelism. Many of the people we meet, we may only see once. We may never hear the outcome of the prayer we prayed or the encouragement we shared. But that does not make the moment small.

Every prayer is a seed.
Every conversation matters.

And while we may not always see the fruit, God is the one who watches over it, nurtures it, and brings it to life in His time.

Sometimes, as in this story, the Lord allows us to see the result. Other times, the story continues beyond what we can witness. But in every case, He remains faithful to what is entrusted to Him.

This is why your prayers and support for our outreach are so meaningful. Through each gathering, each conversation, and each moment of prayer, seeds are being planted in the hearts of people across our communities. Many of these will grow quietly, unseen—but never unnoticed by God.

Thank you for standing with us, for praying, and for being part of what God is doing. Together, we continue to carry these small seeds of hope—trusting Him for the harvest.

Strengthening the Hands That Serve:
Encouraging Our Pastoral Family in Eilat

Pastors spend much of their lives encouraging others. They pray with families, guide people through difficult seasons, teach the Scriptures, and help believers grow in their faith. Yet those who faithfully shepherd others also need moments to step away from their daily responsibilities, share their hearts, and receive encouragement themselves. Recently, Pastor Israel traveled to […]

Until All Israel Hears —
The Good News Project

Nearly two thousand years ago, the Good News of Yeshua began spreading from Jerusalem to the nations. This November, believers from those nations will come to Israel to stand alongside our Beit Hallel team, sharing that same message in the streets of the very land where it all began. There is something deeply meaningful about […]

Where He Walked, They Prayed:
200 Israelis Encounter the Gospel at Magdala

There are places in Israel where the stories of the Bible suddenly feel very close. Magdala, on the shores of the Sea of Galilee, is one of them. Recently, we brought 200 Israelis to this ancient town, where Yeshua (Jesus) ministered in the surrounding region nearly 2,000 years ago. We wanted them to discover more […]

The Stones Are Ancient:
The Gospel Still Changes Lives

Some places carry a history that time cannot erase. Along the shores of the Sea of Galilee, ancient stones still bear witness to the world Yeshua walked through—the villages where He taught, the people He encountered, and the lives that were forever changed by meeting Him.  As we prepare to welcome 200 Israelis to the […]

Hebrew Word of the Week:
B’yadcha (בְּיָדְךָ) —
Into Your Hand

Some things are simply beyond our control. We can pray, make wise decisions, do everything we know to do, and still reach a point where the outcome is no longer in our hands. This can be one of the hardest places for us, because we naturally want to know what is going to happen and […]
