Taking our young people up to Galilee for an intense 3-day discipleship training with powerful teachings, prayer, fellowship, and bible study, is part of a discipleship program we designed geared toward raising a strong generation of leaders among our young people. Our goal is to continue cultivating the spirit of discipleship among our youth, who are the next generation of leaders, disciples and witnesses of Yeshua in Israel and to the ends of the earth. What better place to impart that spirit of discipleship in them than in the Galilee, the place where Yeshua ministered to his followers?
We are also finalizing the preparations for our annual AWAKE Youth Conference where we will receive young people from all over Israel: Jerusalem, Tel Aviv, from down south in Eilat to the northernmost part of the country. “From Beer Sheva to Dan…” — for two days of powerful worship sessions, impactful teachings, workshops, and fellowship; we can’t help but get even more excited at what God is doing among our young people. This is the time for changes, time to experience God on a deeper level, time to awaken and take up the calling of God and the purpose our young people received from the Lord.
Every year we have seen just how intense the encounters with God have been for our young generation, especially for those who are at that age when they still seek meaning and purpose for their lives. It’s amazing how God comes through and pours out His Spirit on these kids, to let them know they are never alone, that His purpose and destiny for them is far greater than anything they could ever imagine, or build for themselves.
It is our duty as elders to create the atmosphere for these powerful moments to take place. That is what AWAKE is all about; being that “alarm clock” that comes to shake up whoever is dormant, enable them to receive power from the Holy Spirit, inject new passion in them for God, and equip them with powerful tools to go and usher in the revival that is already at the door.
Discipling our young generation is extremely crucial at this time, and it is the best moment to invest as never before in our young people, who will carry the torch of Israel’s revival. We need to make sure they are equipped and ready for what is ahead! The enemy is putting enormous pressure on the youth in the form of obstacles, challenges, changed plans, emotional ups and downs, and even laziness, to ensure they skip the life-changing experience God prepared for them at AWAKE.
We need your prayers:
- For our youth pastor Sasson, who is organizing and hosting the conference, and for his family.
- For our worship team: many of them are currently in active military service and have requested to take two days off, so they can minister at the AWAKE conference. They were granted permission by the IDF, however, the permits can be revoked at any moment. Praying nothing hinders their time at AWAKE, so they can minister and worship, as well as be blessed by the conference.
- For all the young people invited and registered: there’s an ongoing spiritual battle for the lives of young people. The enemy is always trying to prevent them from entering into the fullness of God’s calling for them and is distracting them so they don’t show up. Because the devil knows if young people show up, God will honour that and show up for them! Keep them, their hearts and minds in your prayers for the upcoming conference.
For finances: there have been last-minute changes that we’ve had to accommodate, which means we had to go over our budget for AWAKE. Please pray for that deficit to be filled, and also consider sowing into AWAKE by supporting this work.
