today is a joyous occasion in the land of Israel as we celebrate Israel’s Independence Day!
It is a wonderful reminder to us that God is faithful and that His Word remains true! Throughout Bible prophecy God spoke to us about the establishment of the modern State of Israel and the return of the Jewish people to the land.
Isaiah 66:8 – “Who has ever heard of such things? Who has ever seen things like this? Can a country be born in a day or a nation be brought forth in a moment? Yet no sooner is Zion in labor than she gives birth to her children.”
Ezekiel 36:24 – “For I will take you out of the nations; I will gather you from all the countries and bring you back into your own land.”
Thousands of years ago God promised the Jewish people, while they were still dispersed among the nations of the earth, that He will bring them back to the land of their fathers, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. He promised that He would root them in the land of Israel and that they will not be uprooted again. He promised that they would prosper as a nation and flourish as He brings them to the Land.
Isaiah 27:6 – “In days to come Jacob will take root, Israel will bud and blossom and fill all the world with fruit.”
Isaiah 35:1-2 “The desert and the parched land will be glad; the wilderness will rejoice and blossom. Like the crocus, it will burst into bloom; it will rejoice greatly and shout for joy. The glory of Lebanon will be given to it, the splendor of Carmel and Sharon; they will see the glory of the Lord, the splendor of our God.
We praise God for His faithfulness to the Jewish people and for showing Himself a loving Father who has not forsaken them, but who has indeed returned them, who has indeed blessed them, and who has indeed multiplied them and made them strong, rooted in their own land…the land of Israel.
And now, since so many prophecies regarding Israel have come to pass, we are praying and waiting for the last, but most important prophecy to come to pass – the SALVATION OF ISRAEL!
Ezekiel 39:28-29 “then they shall know that I am the Lord their God, who sent them into captivity among the nations, but also brought them back to their land, and left none of them captive any longer. And I will not hide My face from them anymore; for I shall have poured out My Spirit on the house of Israel,’ says the Lord God.”
Romans 11:25-26 “For I do not desire, brethren, that you should be ignorant of this mystery, lest you should be wise in your own opinion, that blindness in part has happened to Israel until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in. And so all Israel will be saved, as it is written: “The Deliverer will come out of Zion,
And He will turn away ungodliness from Jacob.””
