Our outreach team recently had the privilege of meeting Evgeny, a new Jewish immigrant to Israel. Evgeny’s journey to Israel began in the midst of personal loss—having recently become a widower, he found himself overwhelmed by loneliness and depression. In search of healing and meaning, he decided to move to Israel, feeling drawn to explore the God of his ancestors. As we spoke with him, we affirmed that his arrival in Israel was no coincidence, but part of God’s plan for his life.
As Evgeny was looking to our team for guidance and help, we offered him the comfort and hope found in Yeshua, the Messiah of Israel. To our joy, he listened eagerly as we shared the Good News of the Gospel and how his Jewish roots are deeply connected to the message of salvation.
During our conversation, Evgeny opened his heart and shared how difficult it has been to cope with his wife’s passing. His loneliness weighed heavily on him, but we encouraged him with prayer, asking God to bring him peace and healing. We also extended an invitation to join us at our congregational meetings and prayer gatherings, where he could find fellowship and build relationships with others who care about him.
A few weeks later, Evgeny attended our most recent evangelism event in Jerusalem. Surrounded by the beauty of the city where the Word of God was first declared, he was deeply moved by the Gospel message. He expressed gratitude for the experience and shared that it brought him a new sense of hope. Evgeny told us he now feels encouraged to attend our meetings regularly, eager to know God and Messiah Yeshua more personally.
This is just the beginning of Evgeny’s journey, and we are excited to walk this path with him. We believe God has a special calling for his life, and we ask you to join us in prayer for him. Please pray that he will find the peace and joy that only Yeshua can offer and come into the fullness of God’s purpose for his life.
Thank you for standing with us in reaching hearts like Evgeny’s. Together, we are building bridges of love and bringing the light of Messiah to His people.
Amen!
