From Brokenness to Hope
A Life touched by Yeshua’s love

The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.

Psalm 34:18

In times of deep sorrow and struggle, God is near—working through His people to bring hope and healing. This past Monday, during one of our outreach projects, we witnessed a powerful encounter that reminded us why sharing the love of Yeshua with Israel is so vital.

A woman named Katarina approached Miriam, our follow-up team leader, with tears in her eyes, overwhelmed with gratitude for the food assistance she had received. But as she shared her story, Miriam could see that her burden went far beyond physical need.

Katarina, a single mother, was battling serious health issues while also facing the uncertainty of life in a new country. Having recently relocated to Israel from Ukraine, she was struggling to rebuild her life, far from everything familiar. On top of her financial and health struggles, she carried a deep wound—one that had distanced her from God and left her heart heavy with grief.

Sensing the pain within her, our dear sister Miriam gently asked if she could pray for her.

Katarina hesitated at first, but then, with a sigh that carried the weight of years of sorrow, she agreed. As they stood together in prayer, something incredible happened—the presence of God met her in that moment.

Before this, Katarina had confided in Miriam that prayer had been a struggle. The devastating loss of her young son, Vadim, had left her questioning God, unable to move forward in faith. The pain was too great, the grief too overwhelming. But in that sacred moment, something shifted.

Miriam shared that she, too, had experienced deep loss—her own son, David, had died in the war with Hamas. As Katarina listened, she saw the same sorrow reflected in Miriam’s eyes, yet also a peace and strength that could only come from God. In that shared pain, she found the courage to take a step toward healing.

As they prayed together, a spark of hope returned to Katarina’s eyes—hope that had long been buried under grief and hardship. She was deeply touched by the Holy Spirit, sensing His love washing over her brokenness. Overcome with emotion, Katarina turned to Miriam and expressed a decision she had been too afraid to make before: she wanted to give her life fully to Yeshua.

So once again, they bowed their heads in prayer. But this time, it was different. This time, Katarina poured out her heart before God, repenting of her sins and surrendering her life to Yeshua. She chose to trust Him again, to walk in faith, and to let Him heal the wounds that had kept her in despair for so long. Hallelujah!

We truly believe this was not a random encounter but a divine appointment.

God Himself had orchestrated this moment to bring Katarina back to Him. This was the beginning of a new journey, a step toward the ultimate restoration found in Yeshua. He is the One who binds up the brokenhearted, who brings beauty from ashes, and who turns mourning into joy.

This is why we do what we do. This is why sharing the Gospel with the people of Israel is so vital. So many hearts, like Katarina’s, are longing for peace yet trapped in sorrow—unaware that true healing is found in Yeshua alone. But God is moving among His people today, calling them back to Himself, revealing His Son to them in the midst of their brokenness. And we hold onto His promise that one day, “all Israel shall be saved” (Romans 11:26).

Let us continue to stand together in prayer and action, bringing the Good News of salvation to those who desperately need to hear it. Every conversation, every prayer, and every act of kindness is a seed planted for the Kingdom of God. Will you be a part of this great harvest? Will you stand with us as we proclaim the hope of Yeshua to Israel?

Encouraging Our Pastoral Family in Eilat

Pastors spend much of their lives encouraging others. They pray with families, guide people through difficult seasons, teach the Scriptures, and help believers grow in their faith. Yet those who faithfully shepherd others also need moments to step away from their daily responsibilities, share their hearts, and receive encouragement themselves. Recently, Pastor Israel traveled to […]
