From Despair to Hope:
Tatiana’s New Beginning

From Despair to Hope: Tatiana’s New Beginning
From Despair to Hope: Tatiana’s New Beginning

When Tatiana made aliyah from Ukraine to Israel, she carried more than just a suitcase. She carried the pain of losing her home to war, the weight of leaving behind everything familiar, and the uncertainty of starting over in a land that was new to her in so many ways. Life as a Jewish immigrant was not easy—there were cultural barriers, the challenge of learning Hebrew, and the constant reminder of all she had lost.

In those first months, Tatiana often felt like a stranger even in her own future. Questions filled her heart: “Where do I go from here? Will I ever feel whole again?”

It was during this difficult time that a friend invited her to attend one of our services at Beit Hallel. That simple invitation became a turning point. When Tatiana walked through our doors, she was met not only with open arms from the congregation but also with the care and warmth of our follow-up team. They took time to listen to her story, pray with her, and surround her with love that was practical and real.

This wasn’t a one-time encounter.

The team continued to reach out—calling her, visiting her, and walking with her through the challenges of her new life in Israel. Week by week, Tatiana began to sense a light breaking through the darkness she had been carrying.

As trust grew, the team gently shared with her about the hope we have in Yeshua, the Messiah of Israel. Their words were filled with compassion, not pressure, and Tatiana found herself deeply moved by the peace they carried. One day, as they prayed together, Tatiana made the most important decision of her life—she opened her heart to Yeshua. That day, sorrow gave way to joy, and despair gave way to hope.

She received her first Bible and soon after began coming regularly to our gatherings. The change was clear to everyone around her. The fear that had once gripped her heart started to fade, replaced by a quiet peace and a radiant smile. Tatiana herself says she feels like she has found not only faith, but also a new family here in the Land.

Today, though challenges remain—adapting to her new life, learning Hebrew, and navigating the unknowns of the future—Tatiana faces them with courage. She knows she is not walking alone. Our follow-up team continues to encourage her, pray with her, and help her grow stronger every day in her walk with Yeshua.

“You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you.”

Isaiah 26:3

Tatiana’s story is a reminder of how God works through the simple faithfulness of His people. One friend’s invitation, the love of a congregation, and the dedication of a follow-up team became the doorway to a brand-new beginning. From the ashes of war and loss, God has given her peace, joy, and a future in Him.

The Sound of the Shofar
Awakening Our Hearts at Rosh Hashanah

Here in Jerusalem, you can almost feel the city holding its breath as Rosh Hashanah approaches. At night, thousands gather at the Western Wall for sliḥot — prayers of repentance that echo through the stones and the night air. I wish you could hear it in person: voices rising together, some weeping, some whispering, all […]

A House for His Glory:
Raising Up Our Evangelism & Discipleship Center

I’m standing inside our new Evangelism & Discipleship Center, and honestly, my heart is just overflowing with gratitude. Not long ago this was only a dream we carried in prayer, and now it’s taking shape before our eyes. Every step forward feels like another reminder that the Lord is building this house with us. The […]

The Prophetic Call of the Fall Feasts
Hope for Israel’s Future

As we step into the High Holy Days—Rosh HaShanah (the Feast of Trumpets) and Sukkot (the Feast of Tabernacles)—we are reminded again that these aren’t just ancient traditions. They are divine appointments on God’s calendar. The shofar’s cry is more than sound; it is a summons to turn our hearts back to Him. The sukkah […]

Strengthening the Hands That Serve:
Encouraging Our Pastoral Family in Eilat

Pastors spend much of their lives encouraging others. They pray with families, guide people through difficult seasons, teach the Scriptures, and help believers grow in their faith. Yet those who faithfully shepherd others also need moments to step away from their daily responsibilities, share their hearts, and receive encouragement themselves. Recently, Pastor Israel traveled to […]

Until All Israel Hears —
The Good News Project

Nearly two thousand years ago, the Good News of Yeshua began spreading from Jerusalem to the nations. This November, believers from those nations will come to Israel to stand alongside our Beit Hallel team, sharing that same message in the streets of the very land where it all began. There is something deeply meaningful about […]

One Family’s Journey of Aliyah, Resilience, and Belonging

“We have nowhere left to return to. We’ve already returned. Home.” These are Olga’s words, and they tell us something about the family we’ve come to know through our work at Beit Hallel. Where He Walked, They Prayed:
200 Israelis Encounter the Gospel at Magdala

There are places in Israel where the stories of the Bible suddenly feel very close. Magdala, on the shores of the Sea of Galilee, is one of them. Recently, we brought 200 Israelis to this ancient town, where Yeshua (Jesus) ministered in the surrounding region nearly 2,000 years ago. We wanted them to discover more […]

The Stones Are Ancient:
The Gospel Still Changes Lives

Some places carry a history that time cannot erase. Along the shores of the Sea of Galilee, ancient stones still bear witness to the world Yeshua walked through—the villages where He taught, the people He encountered, and the lives that were forever changed by meeting Him.  As we prepare to welcome 200 Israelis to the […]

Hebrew Word of the Week:
B’yadcha (בְּיָדְךָ) —
Into Your Hand

Some things are simply beyond our control. We can pray, make wise decisions, do everything we know to do, and still reach a point where the outcome is no longer in our hands. This can be one of the hardest places for us, because we naturally want to know what is going to happen and […]
