As the Jewish High Holy Days approach, Jerusalem is once again at the center of spiritual significance, not only for Israel but for the entire world.
This year, more than ever, we wanted the life-transforming message of Yeshua to be heard in the heart of Jerusalem. This is why we organized an upcoming evangelism event for over 300 people who will get to hear the gospel for the very first time.
This evangelism event, happening during such a profound season of reflection, repentance, and renewal, carries an urgency that transcends time and place, especially in these challenging days of war and unrest.
There is something powerfully significant about the Gospel being preached in Jerusalem. It was here, two thousand years ago, that Yeshua the Messiah, lived, died, and rose again, proclaiming the Good News of salvation. And it was from here that His disciples were first commissioned to take this message “to the ends of the earth” (Acts 1:8). So they did. And now it’s time for the message of God’s salvation to return to His people.
The city of Jerusalem remains central in God’s redemptive story, as it stands like a lighthouse surrounded by the world’s darkness.
When we bring the message of salvation back to this holy city, we are participating in a profound moment of spiritual continuity, fulfilling prophecies spoken by our ancient prophets.
Zechariah 8:22 spoke of a time when “many peoples and powerful nations will come to Jerusalem to seek the Lord Almighty and to entreat Him.” In a small but significant way, our upcoming evangelistic event is a part of that promise. Hundreds of Israelis, many of whom have never heard the gospel, will now have the opportunity to encounter Yeshua as their Savior.
The Jewish High Holy Days: A Time of Reflection and Revelation
It’s no coincidence that this event is perfectly timed with the Jewish High Holy Days — a season that begins with Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year and Feast of Trumpets, continues with Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement, and concludes with Sukkot, the Feast of Tabernacles. These days are marked by deep reflection, repentance, and prayer, as the Jewish people seek reconciliation with God and each other.
How fitting, then, that during this time of spiritual openness, when the nation of Israel seeks atonement and reconciliation, the Gospel, which offers the ultimate reconciliation through Jesus, will be preached in Jerusalem.
The timing is crucial, especially in the midst of the turmoil and war that has once again cast a shadow over the land of Israel. In these uncertain times, the message of the Gospel — of hope, peace, and salvation — is needed more than ever. The people of Israel are in desperate need of this light, and you and I have been called to bring it to them.
Pray that the Holy Spirit would prepare the hearts of those attending, that they would be open to hearing the message of Yeshua the Messiah so that this would be a moment of great harvest, where many would come to know their Savior.
In this season of reflection and redemption, we remember the words of the prophet Isaiah: “I will make you a light for the nations, that my salvation may reach to the end of the earth” (Isaiah 49:6).
The light of Christ is shining in Jerusalem once more, and with your prayers and support of our evangelism work, we believe that many will be drawn to it.
