How God Is Meeting Hearts and Needs in Jerusalem through Beit Hallel

Jerusalem is not just a city on a map. It is the city of the great King. It is the place where God has placed His name, where the prophets walked, where Yeshua taught, suffered, died, and rose again—and where He will return. Every stone carries memory. Every street whispers prayer. And today, by God’s grace and through your partnership, His love is once again being made visible in this city, week after week, life by life.

At Beit Hallel, our work in Jerusalem is a living picture of faith expressed through action.

Every month, around 150 families receive practical humanitarian support—food bags, clothing, shoes, and essential items. These are not abstract numbers. They are parents trying to make ends meet, elderly people living alone, and new immigrants still finding their footing in an overwhelming city. For many, this help arrives at a moment when hope feels thin and options feel few.

We never see humanitarian aid as an end in itself. It is an open door. A gentle way of saying, You are seen. You matter. You are not forgotten. It is compassion offered with dignity, and ultimately, it’s the love and reality of God expressed in a language everyone understands.

Alongside this, something equally precious has been quietly growing—a weekly spiritual gathering that has taken root in Jerusalem.

Every Thursday evening, the room is prepared not like a traditional service, but like a home. Tables replace rows of chairs. Tea and coffee are poured. A simple meal is shared. People arrive carrying the weight of the week, and slowly, conversations begin. Laughter breaks out. Walls come down. Hearts open.

Worship rises—not as a performance, but as sincere praise.

The Word is shared openly and freely—about faith, love, joy, hope, and above all, about Yeshua. And then come the moments that cannot be planned: personal prayer, quiet tears, hands gently placed on shoulders, lives laid before God.

Almost every week, someone chooses to pray the prayer of repentance and receive Jesus as their Savior. In 2025 alone, nearly 50 people made that decision in Jerusalem. Not all are ready to take the next step yet—but seeds have been planted. Prayers have been prayed. Eternal work has begun.

Behind all of this is a faithful, humble team. Servants who travel from Ashdod. Volunteers who give their time and strength. Believers who once came searching—and now return to serve. Before each outreach, they pray together for Jerusalem, for the people, and for God’s purposes to be fulfilled. And now, slowly and beautifully, a small community of believers is forming—people who come regularly, grow together, and are beginning to walk as a spiritual family.

We truly believe this is the foundation of something lasting. God is building quietly, faithfully, and with great care. And we are prayerfully trusting that in 2026, this work may grow into an officially established congregation in Jerusalem.

Friends, this is sacred ground.

You are not simply supporting a project. You are helping establish God’s work in the city He loves. You are feeding the hungry, comforting the broken, creating space for faith to grow, and preparing hearts in the city to which Jesus will return.

We invite you to continue standing with us. Pray for Jerusalem. Give as the Lord leads. Rejoice with us as lives are transformed and hope is restored in the city of the great King.

Together, we are preparing the way—
heart by heart,
table by table,
prayer by prayer.

With deep gratitude and hope,

The Beit Hallel Team

Anna’s Story:
From Despair to Hope Through Beit Hallel’s Follow-Up Ministry

When Anna arrived in Israel from Ukraine three years ago as a new immigrant, she carried hope for a fresh beginning. Like so many repatriates, she came seeking safety, stability, and a new start in the Land of Israel. But instead of an easy transition, she was met with hardship almost immediately. Shortly after arriving, […]

Preparing the Land Together:
Your Impact on Aliyah and Restoration

One of the beautiful and sacred callings God has entrusted to Beit Hallel Congregation is to stand with His prophetic purposes for Israel — especially the return of the Jewish people to their ancient homeland. Scripture reminds us again and again that this return would not be accidental or political alone, but deeply spiritual. The […]

Come and See:
A Living Testimony of Unity in the Land

Shalom dear friends, I want to take a moment to share a very special and encouraging experience with you from Nazareth. Recently, I had the joy of spending time with my dear friend and brother, Pastor Saleem Shalash. We sat together, shared a meal, prayed, and spoke openly about the heart of God for this […]

The Unexpected Encounter That Gave Marina Hope

Marina* came to our Sukkot celebration carrying a fear she could do nothing about. Her son was in prison in Ukraine, badly wounded, and she did not know what would happen to him. She had no idea that among the people she would meet that day was someone whose own story would touch hers in […]

The Work He Left In Our Hands —
Galilee Evangelism Campaign

Here in Israel, many people can know the names of biblical places and the stories connected with them — and still know very little about who Yeshua really is. For many of the new Jewish immigrants we meet, Israel itself is also new. They are building a life in a new country, discovering the land, […]

“Please Don’t Wait Too Long” —
Holocaust Survivors Project Report

Some of the Holocaust survivors who walked into our gathering in Ashdod already knew us. Others did not. We could see the hesitation on a few faces, and we understood it. They had been invited into a room with people they barely knew — and we were wondering how they would respond when we spoke […]

Inside the Sukkah:
Remembering the God Who Provides

One of the things I love about Sukkot is how many simple reminders of God’s faithfulness surround us during this Feast. We build the sukkah, we sit beneath its branches, we share meals together as families, and we remember something our people have needed to remember for thousands of years: everything we have ultimately comes […]

Hebrew Word of the Week:
Adonai Uzzi (יְהוָה עֻזִּי) —
The LORD Is My Strength

We all become tired sometimes, and I don’t mean only physically. There is another kind of tiredness that comes when you have been carrying something for a long time. You have prayed, you have tried to make the right decisions, you have kept going, but the situation has still not changed. After some time, you […]

“Don’t Forget Us. Come Again” —
Holocaust Survivors Praise Report

The Moroccan food was a hit. We had brought it from Ashdod for a gathering with Holocaust survivors in Jerusalem, and before long people around the tables were asking about our city. What is Ashdod like? Could they come visit sometime? We loved that. Somewhere between passing plates, talking across the table and getting to […]
