Ksenia’s Testimony
Fruits from our Jerusalem Outreach

Our outreach in Jerusalem keeps bearing good fruit by the grace of God, the guidance of the Holy Spirit, and the support of our partners worldwide.

Through our weekly meetings, we have the privilege of meeting Israelis from all walks of life, facing different challenges, but all in need of love and support. God has blessed us with a wonderful team of workers who spend time praying with them, counselling them, and sharing the Word of God with them.

The Word is the good seed that is being sown into good ground, and the Bible speaks powerfully to this fact:

But the seed falling on good soil refers to someone who hears the word and understands it. This is the one who produces a crop, yielding a hundred, sixty or thirty times what was sown.

Matthew 13:23

During one of our recent meetings in Jerusalem, our team met a dear elderly lady called Ksenia. She’s an energetic and gracious woman who leads a very active lifestyle as she takes care of her small grandkids on a daily basis. Ksenia has been searching for God for many years and has often thought of how one would enter into a living relationship with God, and what impact such a relationship would have on one’s life.

Above all else, she simply knew deep in her heart that she needed God.

As our team sat down with Ksenia over a cup of tea, Ksenia started sharing her desire to know God, and to become a child of His. Our team shared the Gospel message with Ksenia, pointing out how Yeshua carried the sin of mankind on the cross, fulfilling the requirements of God for humanity to be restored to Him. They shared how salvation was a free gift that God offers us, and that we simply need to sincerely repent of our sins and receive Yeshua by faith as our Lord and Savior.

Ksenia’s eyes lit up as she heard these words being spoken to her, and it was as if her heart caught fire as confirmation that this was what she had been searching for. We gave Ksenia her very first Bible to start studying the Word, and we also gave her extra copies for her family members. We also invited her to attend our evangelism event in Galilee, which she was very excited about.

When the time came for our next evangelism event in Be’er Sheva, Ksenia joined us along with her niece Anna. Ksenia was very excited about what the evangelism had in store for her, as the Word of God had taken root in her heart and was creating a hunger in her heart for more of God. The Word that Pastor Israel shared on salvation in Yeshua touched them both deeply, and when the time came for the altar call, they both responded and prayed the prayer of salvation, receiving Yeshua. Hallelujah!

Since the evangelism Ksenia and Anna have been coming regularly to our congregational meetings, and have been staying in constant communication with our follow-team, as they walk the path together that God had prepared for them. Ksenia loves to study the Word of God and is on a journey of discovery to learn as much about her Heavenly Father as possible.

What a powerful testimony of the change that only Yeshua can bring about in a person’s life.

Amen!
