Pochtar Family Update –
Releasing the Next Generation Into Their Calling

There are moments in ministry that feel especially sacred—not because they are loud or dramatic, but because they quietly reveal the faithfulness of God over time. This is one of those moments for our family. As a pastor, I have had the privilege of watching many lives grow and mature in the Lord, but there is something uniquely moving about seeing your own children step into the calling that God has placed on their lives. It is a reminder that the seeds planted through years of prayer, discipleship, and daily faithfulness never remain hidden—they grow, and in time, they begin to bear fruit.

Recently, our son Sasson received an invitation to join an international ministry focused on evangelism here in Israel. After seeking the Lord, he felt clearly led to step into this opportunity—a season that will stretch him, equip him, and expose him to a broader dimension of ministry across the nation. While he will continue serving as a youth pastor and remain actively involved in our congregation—preaching, mentoring, and walking closely with our young people—his daily work will now take place in Tel Aviv, serving alongside a wider network of leaders and evangelistic initiatives. As a father, I felt a deep peace in releasing him into this. There is something right about allowing the next generation to grow beyond what we alone can give them, to be shaped not only under our leadership, but also through new environments and fresh challenges that God uses to refine and strengthen their calling.

At the same time, we are witnessing another beautiful step unfolding within our own home.

Our youngest son, Guy, has also been sensing a call into ministry, and in this season, he is stepping in to serve alongside me more closely. He will be joining my team, helping with the daily responsibilities of the ministry, supporting ongoing projects, and becoming involved in the life of the church, particularly with the youth. In many ways, he is stepping into areas that Sasson has faithfully carried for years, and it is a blessing to see this natural transition take place—not forced, but led by the Lord. For me personally, this is both a practical help and a deeply meaningful moment, as I watch another son begin to take ownership in the work God has entrusted to us.

As I reflect on all of this, I am reminded of Paul’s encouragement:

“Do not neglect the gift that is in you”

1 Timothy 4:14

What we are seeing is exactly that—gifts that have been quietly nurtured are now being awakened, strengthened, and put into action. This is how God builds—not suddenly, but faithfully, layer by layer, generation by generation. There is a passing of the torch taking place, not in a single moment, but through a steady process of growth, surrender, and obedience.

These seasons always carry both joy and responsibility.

As parents, we are called not only to raise and guide, but also to release. And as a ministry, we are called not only to serve the present, but to invest into the future—to prepare those who will carry the message forward. What gives me confidence in this season is knowing that this is not something we are striving to create—this is something God Himself is doing. He is the One who calls, who equips, and who leads each step with purpose.

We are deeply grateful for your continued prayers and support. You are part of this journey more than you may realize. As you stand with us, you are helping raise and release a generation that will carry the message of hope, truth, and restoration across this land. And I believe with all my heart that what we are seeing now is only the beginning of what God is preparing for the days ahead.

Andrey’s Story –
Where Kindness Opens the Heart to God

Sometimes the most meaningful moments in ministry don’t begin with a stage or a sermon—they begin with a simple conversation. A shared moment. A willingness to meet someone exactly where they are, without pressure or expectation—just presence, kindness, and truth. It is in these quiet spaces that hearts begin to open, trust begins to form, […]

A Generation Rising:
From Seeds of Faith to a Living Legacy

There is something deeply beautiful about watching what God has planted over the years begin to grow, mature, and step into purpose. In ministry, growth is not only measured in numbers or new initiatives—it is most clearly seen in people. In lives that have been nurtured, shaped, and carried through seasons. In children who once […]

Shavuot in Jerusalem:
When the Word Comes Alive in the City of the Great King

There are places in the world where history is remembered—and there are places where it is still alive. Jerusalem is one of those places. You do not simply visit it; you step into it. You walk the same streets where prophets spoke, where prayers have risen for generations, and where the story of redemption unfolded […]

The Unexpected Encounter That Gave Marina Hope

The Work He Left In Our Hands —
Galilee Evangelism Campaign

Here in Israel, many people can know the names of biblical places and the stories connected with them — and still know very little about who Yeshua really is. For many of the new Jewish immigrants we meet, Israel itself is also new. They are building a life in a new country, discovering the land, […]

“Please Don’t Wait Too Long” —
Holocaust Survivors Project Report

Some of the Holocaust survivors who walked into our gathering in Ashdod already knew us. Others did not. We could see the hesitation on a few faces, and we understood it. They had been invited into a room with people they barely knew — and we were wondering how they would respond when we spoke […]

Inside the Sukkah:
Remembering the God Who Provides

One of the things I love about Sukkot is how many simple reminders of God’s faithfulness surround us during this Feast. We build the sukkah, we sit beneath its branches, we share meals together as families, and we remember something our people have needed to remember for thousands of years: everything we have ultimately comes […]

Hebrew Word of the Week:
Adonai Uzzi (יְהוָה עֻזִּי) —
The LORD Is My Strength

We all become tired sometimes, and I don’t mean only physically. There is another kind of tiredness that comes when you have been carrying something for a long time. You have prayed, you have tried to make the right decisions, you have kept going, but the situation has still not changed. After some time, you […]

Holocaust Survivors Praise Report

The Moroccan food was a hit. We had brought it from Ashdod for a gathering with Holocaust survivors in Jerusalem, and before long people around the tables were asking about our city. What is Ashdod like? Could they come visit sometime? We loved that. Somewhere between passing plates, talking across the table and getting to […]
