Praise Report:
Strengthening Israel’s Shepherds in Cyprus

Pastoring in Israel is a calling of profound significance and responsibility. The pastors who serve here carry the unique mantle of shepherding God’s people in the very land where so much of biblical history unfolded. For most of them, this ministry is not their only role. Many juggle full-time jobs while pastoring their congregations, pouring themselves out daily in service to others. It is a life marked by devotion and sacrifice, but even the most faithful servants of God need times of refreshing.

Scripture reminds us of the importance of rest and renewal:

Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest

Matthew 11:28

Yet, in the busyness of ministry, it can be challenging for pastors to heed this invitation. That’s why opportunities like the recent pastoral retreat in Cyprus are so vital. These retreats offer a sacred pause—a chance to step away from demanding schedules and enter into a time of restoration in the presence of God.

During this retreat, pastors from across Israel gathered for several days of Spirit-led worship, heartfelt fellowship, and enriching teaching. It was not only a time to gain practical tools for ministry but also a chance to experience the renewing power of the Holy Spirit. Together, they shared meals, broke bread, prayed for one another, and basked in the unity that comes from being part of the body of Christ.

One pastor shared with me, with tears in his eyes, how much he longed for this kind of fellowship. “I’ve felt so isolated and exhausted,” he said. “I need this connection with others who understand the weight of ministry.” That heartfelt admission reaffirmed the essential role these retreats play, not just as training events but as lifelines for pastors who often pour out endlessly without being poured into.

Throughout the retreat, testimonies emerged of how deeply these leaders were impacted.

Many described it as “a sacred pause”—a time to step away from the demands of ministry and simply sit at the feet of Jesus. Hearts were filled, spirits were renewed, and a fresh outpouring of the Holy Spirit brought new strength and vision.

One pastor remarked, “I feel like I’m leaving with new wine—ready to go back and pour into my congregation with a full heart.” Another shared how the retreat brought healing to his spirit, enabling him to reconnect with the joy of his calling.

This retreat was not only a blessing for the pastors themselves but also an investment in their congregations and communities.

Strengthened and equipped, these leaders return to their ministries carrying the overflow of what they received. The ripple effects are felt throughout their churches as they bring renewed energy, fresh insights, and a deeper anointing to their flocks.

Such moments of renewal are made possible through the prayers and generous support of friends like you. Your partnership enables us to care for the shepherds of Israel, ensuring they are strengthened for the vital work God has called them to. By supporting these retreats, you are investing in the Kingdom, empowering pastors to continue proclaiming the Gospel, advancing God’s Kingdom, and shepherding His people with hearts full of His love and grace.

Thank you for standing with us in this mission. Together, we are making an eternal impact, one pastor, one congregation, and one community at a time. Let us continue to pray for these faithful leaders as they carry the light of Christ across the Land of Israel.

A Testimony of Hope and Salvation in Cyprus

This past week, our outreach team from Beit Hallel Congregation participated at our leadership retreat in Cyprus. But as often happens, God had additional plans beyond what we could have imagined! During their time […]

The Unexpected Encounter That Gave Marina Hope

The Work He Left In Our Hands —
Galilee Evangelism Campaign

Here in Israel, many people can know the names of biblical places and the stories connected with them — and still know very little about who Yeshua really is. For many of the new Jewish immigrants we meet, Israel itself is also new. They are building a life in a new country, discovering the land, […]

“Please Don’t Wait Too Long” —
Holocaust Survivors Project Report

Some of the Holocaust survivors who walked into our gathering in Ashdod already knew us. Others did not. We could see the hesitation on a few faces, and we understood it. They had been invited into a room with people they barely knew — and we were wondering how they would respond when we spoke […]

Inside the Sukkah:
Remembering the God Who Provides

One of the things I love about Sukkot is how many simple reminders of God’s faithfulness surround us during this Feast. We build the sukkah, we sit beneath its branches, we share meals together as families, and we remember something our people have needed to remember for thousands of years: everything we have ultimately comes […]

Hebrew Word of the Week:
Adonai Uzzi (יְהוָה עֻזִּי) —
The LORD Is My Strength

We all become tired sometimes, and I don’t mean only physically. There is another kind of tiredness that comes when you have been carrying something for a long time. Holocaust Survivors Praise Report

The Moroccan food was a hit. We had brought it from Ashdod for a gathering with Holocaust survivors in Jerusalem, and before long people around the tables were asking about our city. What is Ashdod like? Could they come visit sometime? We loved that. Somewhere between passing plates, talking across the table and getting to […]
