Strengthening the Roots —
Why Discipleship Matters in Israel

In every season of true growth, God first strengthens the roots. Over the past months, we have sensed a clear and gentle leading from the Lord to focus more intentionally on discipleship—not as a program to run, but as a calling to live. It is a calling to raise up believers who are grounded in truth, secure in their faith, and confident in walking daily with Yeshua.

Israel needs more than inspiration; it needs disciples. This is not a new idea, but the very heart of Yeshua’s commission to His followers. As He said, “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations… teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you.” Discipleship is not optional—it is central to the life and health of the Body of Messiah.

At the beginning of this year, we launched a series of discipleship courses focused on practical, biblical foundations. These included training in personal evangelism and one-on-one discipleship, helping believers learn how to walk alongside others with wisdom, love, and clarity.

This teaching was not theoretical; it was relational, hands-on, and deeply encouraging.

Thirty-five leaders took part in this season of training—pastors and ministry leaders from five different congregations. Together, they studied the Word, prayed, asked honest questions, and strengthened one another. There was a strong sense of unity in the room as the Body of Messiah was being built up from within, reflecting the principle found in Scripture: “What you have heard from me… entrust to faithful people who will be able to teach others also.”

One of the most encouraging aspects of this journey has been the testimonies that followed. Participants shared how meaningful it was to receive practical tools for discipleship, clear biblical direction, personal encouragement, and renewed confidence to step out in faith. Many are already applying what they learned—reaching out to friends, neighbors, family members, and coworkers. Conversations are opening, relationships are deepening, and seeds are being planted.

This is how discipleship works: life touching life.

In the season Israel is walking through right now, this work is especially critical. Fear, uncertainty, and weariness surround many believers, and in such times, shallow faith is easily shaken. Rooted faith, however, stands firm. Discipleship forms believers who know what they believe and why, who can encourage others in moments of crisis, who carry hope rather than fear, and who take responsibility for the people God places in their lives. As the apostle Paul writes, “Just as you received Messiah Yeshua as Lord, continue to live your lives in Him, rooted and built up in Him.”

This is why we believe discipleship is not optional—it is essential. As this work continues to grow, so do the needs. We are praying for more workers in the field, more leaders willing to be trained and sent, and more resources to help us expand and sustain these courses. Yeshua’s words still ring true today: “The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few.”

If the Lord places it on your heart, we invite you to stand with us—through prayer and through support. Your partnership helps make it possible to equip believers, strengthen congregations, and raise up a generation of disciples who will carry the Gospel faithfully across Israel.

Together, we are not just building meetings; we are building people.

Thank you for praying with us, for believing in the importance of discipleship, and for helping strengthen the Body of Messiah in Israel—from the roots up.

Where Do You Stand on Israel? — Walking in Alignment in This Season

As we continue to follow what is happening here in Israel, many of us find ourselves pausing more often, reflecting, and praying. The pace of the news is fast, opinions are loud, and emotions run high. Yet beneath all of this, there is a quieter question that the Lord seems to be asking His people […]

From Prayer to Healing, From Healing to Faith –
Olga from Jerusalem

One of the most meaningful aspects of ministry at Beit Hallel Congregation is not simply praying for a need once, but walking patiently and faithfully with people over time. It is choosing to stay present through long seasons of uncertainty, standing alongside those who are hurting, and trusting the Lord to work in ways that […]

Strengthening the Hands That Serve:
Encouraging Our Pastoral Family in Eilat

Pastors spend much of their lives encouraging others. They pray with families, guide people through difficult seasons, teach the Scriptures, and help believers grow in their faith. Yet those who faithfully shepherd others also need moments to step away from their daily responsibilities, share their hearts, and receive encouragement themselves. Recently, Pastor Israel traveled to […]

Until All Israel Hears —
The Good News Project

Nearly two thousand years ago, the Good News of Yeshua began spreading from Jerusalem to the nations. This November, believers from those nations will come to Israel to stand alongside our Beit Hallel team, sharing that same message in the streets of the very land where it all began. There is something deeply meaningful about […]

Where He Walked, They Prayed:
200 Israelis Encounter the Gospel at Magdala

There are places in Israel where the stories of the Bible suddenly feel very close. Magdala, on the shores of the Sea of Galilee, is one of them. Recently, we brought 200 Israelis to this ancient town, where Yeshua (Jesus) ministered in the surrounding region nearly 2,000 years ago. We wanted them to discover more […]

The Stones Are Ancient:
The Gospel Still Changes Lives

Some places carry a history that time cannot erase. Along the shores of the Sea of Galilee, ancient stones still bear witness to the world Yeshua walked through—the villages where He taught, the people He encountered, and the lives that were forever changed by meeting Him.  As we prepare to welcome 200 Israelis to the […]

Hebrew Word of the Week:
B’yadcha (בְּיָדְךָ) —
Into Your Hand

Some things are simply beyond our control. We can pray, make wise decisions, do everything we know to do, and still reach a point where the outcome is no longer in our hands. This can be one of the hardest places for us, because we naturally want to know what is going to happen and […]
