The Family as God’s Blueprint

Families are God’s blueprint for a functioning and prosperous society. They are the pillars of our communities, and our society and nation are only as strong as the families we are building.

Times of war here in Israel emphasized once again the importance of strong and united families.

Some of the brothers in our congregation were recently discharged from reserve duty after having spent four months on the frontline, away from their families and homes, defending their country.

This is a crucial time for us to invest in strengthening the families in our community and congregation.

Our upcoming Ashdod Family Conference is designed to fortify the families and reveal the Father’s heart when it comes to His blueprint for families.

This conference will be a time for healing, especially for many fathers who came home from the war, as well as a time for encouraging and unifying husbands and wives, parents and children.

Youth Ministry Update
From Followers to Disciples

There’s arguably no better place for discipleship training than the Galilee, since it’s the same place where Jesus started His own earthly ministry.  Galilee is where Yeshua taught, prayed, prophesied, healed, delivered and changed so many lives. Jesus had a special place in His heart for this beautiful region. Galilee was home to Him, and […]

Fruits from our Jerusalem Outreach – Naomi’s Story

Our new Outreach to Jerusalem initiative is something we are super excited about, as it’s the realization of a dream that God awoke in our hearts a long time ago. At first it seemed like quite a stretch to imagine us establishing a work in Jerusalem, but as we read in Phil. 1:6, God always […]

Yeshua’s Ambassadors in Israel

We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ’s behalf: Be reconciled to God. 2 Corinthians 5:20 When pastor Israel first began his ministry as a young street evangelist in Tel Aviv in the 90’s, fired up for the gospel he would spend his days […]

When God Knows the Whole Story:
The Unexpected Encounter That Gave Marina Hope

Marina* came to our Sukkot celebration carrying a fear she could do nothing about. Her son was in prison in Ukraine, badly wounded, and she did not know what would happen to him. She had no idea that among the people she would meet that day was someone whose own story would touch hers in […]

The Work He Left In Our Hands —
Galilee Evangelism Campaign

Here in Israel, many people can know the names of biblical places and the stories connected with them — and still know very little about who Yeshua really is. For many of the new Jewish immigrants we meet, Israel itself is also new. They are building a life in a new country, discovering the land, […]

“Please Don’t Wait Too Long” —
Holocaust Survivors Project Report

Some of the Holocaust survivors who walked into our gathering in Ashdod already knew us. Others did not. We could see the hesitation on a few faces, and we understood it. They had been invited into a room with people they barely knew — and we were wondering how they would respond when we spoke […]

Inside the Sukkah:
Remembering the God Who Provides

One of the things I love about Sukkot is how many simple reminders of God’s faithfulness surround us during this Feast. We build the sukkah, we sit beneath its branches, we share meals together as families, and we remember something our people have needed to remember for thousands of years: everything we have ultimately comes […]

Hebrew Word of the Week: Adonai Uzzi (יְהוָה עֻזִּי) — The LORD Is My Strength

Hebrew Word of the Week:
Adonai Uzzi (יְהוָה עֻזִּי) —
The LORD Is My Strength

We all become tired sometimes, and I don’t mean only physically. There is another kind of tiredness that comes when you have been carrying something for a long time. You have prayed, you have tried to make the right decisions, you have kept going, but the situation has still not changed. After some time, you […]

“Don’t Forget Us. Come Again” —
Holocaust Survivors Praise Report

The Moroccan food was a hit. We had brought it from Ashdod for a gathering with Holocaust survivors in Jerusalem, and before long people around the tables were asking about our city. What is Ashdod like? Could they come visit sometime? We loved that. Somewhere between passing plates, talking across the table and getting to […]
