The Power of Prayer and Persistent Love

Reaching people with the Gospel isn’t always about a single conversation or invitation. More often than not, it requires time, patience, and genuine love—building relationships that God can use in His perfect timing. One of our team members recently shared a powerful testimony that reminded us just how faithful God is in answering prayers and touching hearts in supernatural ways.

Irina’s Story: A Divine Appointment

Irina has lived in Israel for nine years, while her husband has been here for twenty-three. From the very beginning, Yulia, one of our dedicated team members, felt a strong conviction to share Yeshua with them. She invited them to church services, spoke to them about the Gospel, and encouraged them to seek a deeper understanding of faith in Christ.

But time after time, their response remained the same: they believed in God in their own way, and they weren’t ready to take any further steps. It would have been easy for Yulia to feel discouraged—to believe that her words weren’t making a difference.

Instead, she chose a different path.

Rather than continuing to extend invitations that were met with rejection, she decided to simply be present in their lives. She built a friendship with them, showed them love and care, and faithfully lifted them up in prayer. Even when nothing seemed to be changing, she trusted that God was moving behind the scenes.

Then, something extraordinary happened.

A Divine Call at the Perfect Time

One night, Irina couldn’t sleep. She spent hours awake, wrestling with something deep in her heart. As dawn approached, she had a vivid dream—a dream that Yulia was calling her. When she woke up, she was still shaken by the dream. And then, just moments later, her phone rang.

It was Yulia.

That morning, Yulia had felt an urgent prompting from the Holy Spirit to call Irina and invite her to our discipleship Bible study. She had no idea what Irina had been experiencing the night before—but God did.

This divine timing left Irina in awe.

She knew, without a doubt, that God was speaking to her. And for the first time, she and her husband accepted the invitation. When they arrived at the Bible study, they didn’t just sit quietly in the background—they were deeply engaged, asking questions, and eager to learn more. Before the evening was over, they had already decided to come back for the next study.

God’s Word Never Returns Empty

This experience is a beautiful reminder of the power of persistent love, prayer, and trust in God’s timing. It’s easy to grow weary when we don’t see immediate results. But just as a seed takes time to sprout beneath the soil, God is always working—even when we can’t see it.

As Isaiah declares:

So is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.

Isaiah 55:11

Faithful Love Breaks Down Walls

Sharing the Gospel is not just about words—it’s about relationship, love, and consistency. Sometimes, people aren’t ready to respond right away. But when we walk alongside them in love, when we pray for them faithfully, and when we trust God to do what only He can do, miracles happen.

If you’ve been praying for someone and haven’t seen the breakthrough yet, don’t lose heart. Keep loving, keep praying, and keep trusting.

Because, even when it seems like nothing is happening,
God is moving,
and His word never fails.

The Unexpected Encounter That Gave Marina Hope

The Work He Left In Our Hands —
Galilee Evangelism Campaign

Here in Israel, many people can know the names of biblical places and the stories connected with them — and still know very little about who Yeshua really is. For many of the new Jewish immigrants we meet, Israel itself is also new. They are building a life in a new country, discovering the land, […]

“Please Don’t Wait Too Long” —
Holocaust Survivors Project Report

Some of the Holocaust survivors who walked into our gathering in Ashdod already knew us. Others did not. We could see the hesitation on a few faces, and we understood it. They had been invited into a room with people they barely knew — and we were wondering how they would respond when we spoke […]

Inside the Sukkah:
Remembering the God Who Provides

One of the things I love about Sukkot is how many simple reminders of God’s faithfulness surround us during this Feast. We build the sukkah, we sit beneath its branches, we share meals together as families, and we remember something our people have needed to remember for thousands of years: everything we have ultimately comes […]

Hebrew Word of the Week:
Adonai Uzzi (יְהוָה עֻזִּי) —
The LORD Is My Strength

We all become tired sometimes, and I don’t mean only physically. There is another kind of tiredness that comes when you have been carrying something for a long time. You have prayed, you have tried to make the right decisions, you have kept going, but the situation has still not changed. After some time, you […]

Holocaust Survivors Praise Report

The Moroccan food was a hit. We had brought it from Ashdod for a gathering with Holocaust survivors in Jerusalem, and before long people around the tables were asking about our city. What is Ashdod like? Could they come visit sometime? We loved that. Somewhere between passing plates, talking across the table and getting to […]
