Those who think being a pastor is easy haven’t read this scripture. The responsibility of being a pastor is similar to the responsibility of being a parent. Our flock, our congregation and our community is our family. We are responsible for it as pastors and God will have us give account for those He entrusted us with.
A pastor’s calling is a special one. Which is why God said in the same verse that a pastor’s work can be both a joy, as well as potentially a burden, which would make it of no benefit to the flock.
Offering local Israeli pastos who face tremendous challenges ministering in Israel an opportunity to be refreshed, recharged and restored in a safe and nurturing environment, cannot be considered luxury. Not in light of the scripture in Hebrews 13:17.
This is the type of pastoral retreat we had in mind when we set out to organize one in Cyprus. Taking them away for their daily worries and duties, and allowing them to submerge in God’s restoring presence.
We will be taking 74 pastors to Cyprus for a unique pastoral retreat.
Thanks to your generosity we were able to raise $5,000 out of $7,600 needed to cover the cost for these Israeli pastors.
With only $2,600 remaining to cover the cost for the last few Israeli pastors, would you consider investing in them, providing them with the much-needed opportunity to be recharged as they carry on their shoulders the great responsibility of shepherding the people of Israel?
