She is clothed with strength and dignity; she can laugh at the days to come.
Proverbs 31:25 (NIV)
This past week, our congregation had the joy of hosting a special women’s gathering at Beit Hallel—one that left hearts full and spirits lifted. The event brought together nearly 80 women from different walks of life, all united around a central, God-given theme: Joy.
In a time when many are navigating grief, uncertainty, and daily challenges, choosing joy may seem out of reach—but this gathering was a gentle reminder that God’s joy is not based on circumstances. It’s a gift, a strength, and a breakthrough waiting to be embraced.
A Word That Ministers Deeply
Angela, the wife of one of our pastors, shared a moving message straight from the heart. She spoke with vulnerability and conviction, reminding us that even in our darkest seasons, the Lord calls us to rejoice—not as a denial of pain, but as a declaration of trust.
She shared from her own life, how choosing joy—even when it felt unnatural—opened the door to spiritual breakthroughs. Joy, she explained, is a powerful act of faith. When we worship through tears, rejoice in the middle of a storm, and choose to fix our eyes on Jesus, something shifts. Our burdens don’t disappear, but our strength is renewed.
Many women could be seen nodding, some wiping away tears—others simply soaking in the encouragement as if it was a balm for their weary hearts.
New Faces, New Beginnings
It was especially encouraging to see that many of the women attending were newcomers—some invited through our recent evangelistic outreaches, others who had connected with us through our humanitarian aid programs. These weren’t just women seeking physical help, but women searching for something deeper: hope, healing, and belonging.
The atmosphere was warm, filled with laughter, honest conversations, and moments of worship that lifted every heart toward heaven. It was a safe space—a place where women could come just as they are, and leave different.
A Creative Expression of Joy

At the end of the message, the women took part in a creative hands-on activity that beautifully captured the theme of the evening. Each woman was invited to craft a heart-shaped keepsake, decorating it with bright colors, textures, and symbols that reflected the joy, beauty, and restoration God brings into our lives.
The room was filled with conversation and quiet reflection as women shaped their hearts, both symbolically and spiritually. They then gathered to pray over their creations, asking God to fill every corner of their being with renewed joy, especially in places where sorrow had settled.
A Touching Testimony
One of the most memorable moments came through Tamara, a woman who had never been to Beit Hallel before. Dressed in black and sitting quietly at the edge of a table, it was clear she was carrying something heavy. She later shared that her son-in-law had tragically passed away in February, and she had been caring for her grieving daughter ever since.
She confessed it had been very hard for her to come—but something in her spirit urged her to attend. By the end of the night, tears had given way to a gentle smile, and she expressed how thankful she was for the love, the prayers, and the message that had touched her heart. She even asked how to join a home group, wanting to stay connected and come back again. Watching her leave with light in her eyes was a powerful reminder of why we do what we do.
A Space Where Women Thrive
Around the room, other women shared similar stories—stories of encouragement, healing, and spiritual refreshment. Many said they felt seen, heard, and strengthened in a way they hadn’t felt in a long time.
These gatherings are so much more than just meetings. They are moments of ministry, restoration, and deep connection—not only with one another but with the heart of God. In a world that often overwhelms and exhausts, we are committed to creating safe, Spirit-filled spaces where women can breathe again, be poured into, and leave empowered.
Let us continue to make room for the daughters of God—because they are not only pillars in our homes and congregations, but key carriers of His glory and His joy.
