A Helping Hand for the Jewish High Holy Days

In times of great difficulty, the true heart of the Body of Christ is revealed. It is in these moments that we are called to shine brightly as witnesses of His love and compassion. With Israel facing overwhelming challenges, and behind every headline and news report there are real people — families, children, elderly — all carrying heavy burdens in a country at war. 

For many, these burdens have become almost unbearable. Some are recent immigrants trying to build new lives in an unfamiliar land. Others are elderly Holocaust survivors, vulnerable and often alone. And there are children — small, innocent lives growing up in an environment marked by uncertainty — longing for the peace and security that seems so far away.

As we approach the season of high holy days (Rosh Hashanah, Yom Kippur and Sukkot) — a time meant to reflect on God’s goodness and celebrate His faithfulness — many families here in Israel are struggling with the basics. For some, putting food on the table for the holidays is a challenge they never thought they would face.

As people of the Kingdom and followers of Yeshua, we have an incredible opportunity.

We step in and be a reflection of God’s love — to show kindness in the most practical ways, just when it’s needed the most. 

Beit Hallel Congregation has taken on the mission of providing for those in need, ensuring that no family goes hungry this holiday season.

But we can’t do this without you.

Your generosity has already allowed us to do so much to bless the people of Israel, but the need is still great.
