A New Beginning:
Helping Israel’s Children Start School with Hope

In just a few weeks, school bells will ring across Israel, and thousands of children will head back to class carrying backpacks filled with everything they need for a new year. For most families, it’s a familiar milestone filled with excitement, last-minute preparations, and the anticipation of seeing friends again after the summer.

For hundreds of newly arrived Jewish children, however, this school year will be unlike any they have experienced before. It will be their very first day of school in the land of Israel. As they walk through the school gates, they won’t simply be meeting new classmates. They’ll be learning a new language, adapting to a new culture, and taking their first steps into a future their parents have dreamed about for years.

For many mothers and fathers, that morning will be filled with both hope and uncertainty. They have left behind homes, careers, friends, and everything familiar in order to begin a new life in the Jewish homeland. Some fled war. Others escaped rising antisemitism. All have made enormous sacrifices to answer God’s call to return. Now, as they rebuild their lives from the ground up, even purchasing basic school supplies can become a significant financial burden.

That is why our From Exile to Israel Project exists.

Every backpack we place into a child’s hands carries much more than notebooks and pencils. It carries a message that says, “Welcome home. You are loved. You are not alone. Christians around the world are standing with you as you begin this new chapter in Israel.” Practical help becomes a tangible expression of God’s love, reminding families that they do not have to walk this journey by themselves.

For us, this is about far more than providing school supplies. Through the prophet Ezekiel, the Lord declared,

“I will take you from the nations and gather you from all the countries and bring you into your own land”

Ezekiel 36:24

Today, we have the extraordinary privilege of witnessing that promise unfold before our eyes as Jewish families continue returning home from every corner of the world. Every backpack we provide is a small but meaningful way of participating in what God is doing in our generation, helping children begin this new chapter with confidence while demonstrating His love in practical ways.

This year, we are trusting the Lord to equip 350 newly arrived children with everything they need for their first school year in Israel. Each child will receive a quality backpack, essential school supplies, and a cash voucher that allows parents to purchase additional educational necessities. For many families, this practical support lifts a tremendous burden during one of the most important seasons of their new beginning.

Would you help a child begin this new chapter with hope?

Every gift, no matter the size, helps welcome a family home and gives a child the confidence to walk into school ready to learn.

Ways You Can Help

$50 — Helps provide school supplies.
$100 — Helps provide a quality backpack and practical school essentials.
$220 — Fully equips one child with everything they need for their first school year in Israel.

Every backpack represents far more than preparation for the classroom. It represents confidence instead of anxiety, hope instead of uncertainty, and the reassurance that someone cares enough to stand beside a family as they begin again.

Thank you for partnering with us in this extraordinary work.

Together, we are doing far more than providing backpacks and school supplies. We are welcoming Jewish families home, investing in Israel’s next generation, and participating in the fulfillment of God’s promises—one young life at a time.

When Women Stand Together: The Quiet Strength That Changes Lives

This week, nearly 75 women gathered for an evening of fellowship, worship, biblical encouragement, and prayer. When Faith Becomes Their Own:
Inside Our Summer Youth Discipleship Project

One of the greatest joys of discipleship is watching the moment when faith stops belonging to someone else and becomes personal. That is exactly what we have been witnessing this summer. Without anyone prompting them, many of the young people in our Summer Youth Discipleship Project have begun praying out loud. They are thanking God, […]

Sometimes Love Speaks First –
Galina’s Story

Some of the most meaningful ministry never begins with a sermon. It begins with a conversation, a helping hand, or a simple act of kindness that quietly earns the right to be heard. That is exactly how our friendship with Galina began. Just above our clothing warehouse is a facility for children with special needs. […]

Hebrew Word of the Week:
Ani Hu (אֲנִי הוּא) —
I Am He

We live in a world where so much can change without warning. Plans change, circumstances change, people change, and sometimes things we thought were secure suddenly become uncertain. When that happens, our attention naturally goes to the problem in front of us.  We want to know what will happen, how God will answer, and what […]

When God Speaks of Zion:
His Protection, His Peace, His Blessing Over You

“Praise the LORD, O Jerusalem! Praise your God, O Zion! For He has strengthened the bars of your gates; He has blessed your children within you.” Psalm 147:12–13 Jerusalem is a city the whole world seems to have an opinion about. For more than three thousand years, kingdoms have fought over her, nations have watched […]

Praying for you from Biblical Jaffa:
God still has the final Word

Shalom from Jaffa—biblical Joppa, one of the ancient cities of Israel and a place where remarkable events recorded in Scripture unfolded. As I stand here today, I am praying for you. I may not know exactly what you are facing as you read these words, what situation you have been bringing before the Lord, or what has […]

The beginning they didn’t expect
Finding new life in Israel

Anna had only recently made Aliyah with her three children. As a single mother, she was beginning again in Israel with a 20-year-old son and two daughters, sixteen and five—new surroundings, a new rhythm of life, and so much still uncertain. Then, during one of our recent times together with new Olim, our team began […]

Six lives changed in Biblical Jaffa

They had made Aliyah only two months earlier, and life in Israel was already weighing heavily on them. So when Irina found herself on a small bus heading toward Jaffa and asked what kind of excursion they had joined, our team gave her a simple answer: “We just want you to spend the day with […]

How will they hear?
Bringing the gospel within reach

There are Israelis who have lived their entire lives in the land of the Bible and have never once heard the Gospel clearly explained to them. They know the names of Abraham, Moses, David, and the prophets. They walk the same land where Yeshua lived and ministered. Many know His name—but know Him only as the […]
