There are moments when it feels like heaven touches earth—when the stories of Scripture come alive and God’s presence feels especially near. Our recent Passover Seder in the desert was one of those moments. It wasn’t just a special event—it was a divine appointment.
Set under a canopy of stars in the quiet beauty of the wilderness, we gathered not just to commemorate an ancient tradition, but to encounter its prophetic fulfillment in the Messiah. The desert itself seemed to whisper of Israel’s past, reminding us of the journey from slavery to freedom. And in that sacred space, we remembered that the story of Passover is still being written today—through every heart that is set free by Yeshua.
This wasn’t your average Seder.
It was an outreach, a bold and beautiful invitation for people—believers and seekers alike—to come and discover the depth of God’s redemptive plan. Some who joined us had never been to a Seder before. Others came with non-believing spouses, friends, and family members. Everyone came with open hearts, and God met us there.
As we told the story of the Exodus from Egypt, it became a bridge to share about a greater deliverance—our salvation from sin and death through the Lamb of God. The matzah, the bitter herbs, the cups of wine—each element of the Seder carried layers of meaning, pointing directly to Yeshua.
Behold, the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world.
John 1:29
We spoke of the blood of the lamb placed on the doorposts in Egypt, which protected the Israelites from judgment. Then we shared how this powerful image was fulfilled in Yeshua, whose blood covers our hearts and brings us eternal life.
For Messiah, our Passover Lamb, has been sacrificed.
1 Corinthians 5:7
As we lifted each cup and broke the matzah, the words of the Haggadah echoed with deeper meaning. We remembered that Yeshua’s last supper with His disciples was a Passover Seder—where He revealed the ultimate purpose behind every symbol.
This is my body, given for you; do this in remembrance of me.
Luke 22:19
That night in the desert, something profound happened. People saw Yeshua not as a foreign figure, but as the very heartbeat of their Jewish heritage. The veil began to lift, and many encountered the Messiah in a deeply personal way—some for the very first time.
It wasn’t just a ceremony. It was a night of transformation. A night where chains were broken. A night where the presence of God moved powerfully among us. Tears were shed. Joy overflowed. Testimonies were born.
And as we packed up and headed home, one truth was clear in our hearts: the God who delivered Israel from Egypt is still delivering His people today. And He’s doing it through Yeshua, the true Passover Lamb, who leads us out of darkness into His marvelous light.
It is for freedom that Messiah has set us free.
Galatians 5:1
So as we continue to walk through this Passover season, may we never forget the depth of our heritage and the power of our redemption. Let us celebrate not only where we’ve come from—but also where He is taking us.
