Twenty-one years can pass in the blink of an eye. As we celebrate this special milestone, our hearts are filled with gratitude—not simply for the years behind us, but for the countless lives God has touched along the way. We don’t look back first at buildings, events, or numbers. We remember faces. Stories. Prayers that were answered. Lives transformed by the faithfulness of God.
As we look back on the past twenty-one years, our minds don’t first go to buildings, programs, or milestones. We remember the battles God carried us through, the prayers He answered, the lives He transformed, and the countless moments when His faithfulness became unmistakably real. Looking back now, we can say with confidence: every sacrifice, every challenge, and every step of faith was worth it.
Today, as we celebrate all that God has done, we also celebrate the people who have become part of this family.
One of those stories belongs to Anwar, who was raised in a Muslim family in the Bedouin city of Rahat in the Negev desert. Through his wife’s faith, he was introduced to Beit Hallel, where he encountered not only the message of Yeshua but a community that patiently walked beside him, answered his questions, and welcomed him with open arms. Today he speaks with joy about living in the grace of Jesus Christ and says he has found brothers and sisters who have become family.
For Tima, an eighteen-year-old soldier serving in the Kfir Brigade, Beit Hallel has become exactly that—a home. “I can come just as I am,” she shares. “I don’t have to wear a mask or pretend to be someone I’m not.” In a generation longing for authenticity, she has discovered a place where acceptance, friendship, and genuine faith come together.
The next generation is already carrying that same heartbeat. Halleli, who has grown up in the congregation, speaks with excitement about worship, youth ministry, and the opportunities she has to grow deeper in her relationship with God. Watching young people discover their calling has always been part of our vision, and seeing that vision continue to flourish fills us with hope for the future.
Our impact has also reached beyond Ashdod.
Pastor Eitan, who leads our daughter congregations in Ashkelon and Kiryat Gat, remembers how everything began with simple discipleship courses in people’s homes. One life became two. Two became many. Today those congregations continue to grow, investing in discipleship, humanitarian outreach, and raising up new leaders while faithfully proclaiming that Yeshua is the Messiah of Israel.
Some stories begin in the middle of heartbreak. Natalia and her family arrived in Israel after being forced to flee the war in Ukraine. Like so many new immigrants, they came carrying uncertainty, grief, and questions about the future. At Beit Hallel they found something every family longs for—a place where they were welcomed, embraced, and able to begin again. Today they don’t simply attend the congregation; they joyfully serve alongside us and call Beit Hallel home.
Others have come from the other side of the world.
Daneen, who moved from Minnesota after marrying and settling in Israel, describes discovering a beautiful freedom in worship unlike anything she had experienced before. What touched her most wasn’t only the joyful praise, but the diversity of people God had gathered together—each carrying a unique story that ultimately points to His faithfulness.
For Yaacov, who was born and raised in Israel, the journey was deeply personal. Although he grew up attending synagogue, he always sensed something was missing. Finding Yeshua gave his life the meaning he had been searching for, and becoming part of Beit Hallel gave him a spiritual family where that faith could continue to grow.
As we listen to these stories, one truth becomes beautifully clear: every life is different, yet every testimony points to the same faithful God. Over twenty-one years, He has brought together Jews and Arabs, immigrants and sabras—native-born Israelis, young people and grandparents, soldiers, families, and seekers from every background, weaving them into one spiritual family united in Messiah.
And yet, God often reminds us, and we truly believe we are only just beginning.
The foundation God has built over these past twenty-one years is preparing us for what lies ahead. Our vision remains unchanged: to proclaim the Gospel throughout Israel, disciple the next generation, raise up young leaders, plant new congregations, care for the poor and brokenhearted, and prepare the way for the return of Yeshua by helping our nation know its Messiah.
None of this would be possible without faithful friends and sojourners like you. Your prayers, generosity, and partnership have become part of every testimony shared above. Every transformed life carries your fingerprints as well.
