Bringing the Light of Christmas to Israel:
A Celebration of Faith and Hope in Jerusalem

Imagine living in a place where Christmas isn’t celebrated at all. No decorations, no lights, no carols—nothing to remind you of the joyous season we hold so dear. That’s the reality in Ashdod, Israel. While Hanukkah is celebrated with enthusiasm across the country, Christmas often goes unmarked, even though the very first Christmas happened right here in the land of Israel, just an hour from our city.

In cities like Jerusalem, Nazareth, and Haifa—where larger Christian communities reside—you’ll find festive decorations. But in Ashdod, Christmas remains absent. Inspired to bring this season of hope to life, we’ve taken it upon ourselves to organize something extraordinary: a Christmas pilgrimage for 500 Israelis to Jerusalem.

An Authentic Christmas Experience in the Land of Its Birth

For many Israelis curious about Christmas, the usual option is to travel to Europe for a glimpse of the festive atmosphere. But now, we’re making it possible to experience Christmas authentically—right here in Israel, the land that gave the world its greatest gift.

This event is more than just a trip to see lights and decorations. It’s an opportunity to share the Gospel and immerse our guests in the true meaning of Christmas—the birth of the Messiah in the very land where it all began.

Reclaiming the Jewish Roots of Christmas

One of the most surprising revelations we share with Israelis is the deep Jewish roots of Christmas. The birth of Jesus—the Jewish Messiah—is a story rooted in Israel’s history and God’s promises. In a sense, Christmas is a Jewish feast, celebrating the fulfillment of prophecy.

The looks of amazement and joy on people’s faces when they discover this truth are unforgettable. Helping them connect Christmas to their own heritage opens hearts to the Gospel in a profound way.

In a season marked by war and uncertainty, this event will offer a moment of peace, joy, and spiritual awakening. By experiencing the wonder of Christmas in Jerusalem, our guests will not only see the beauty of the season but also hear the life-changing message of Christ.
