God places a choice before us: blessing or curse, obedience or rebellion, His way or our own.
In this week’s Torah portion, Parashat Re’eh (Deuteronomy 11:26–16:17), Moses speaks to Israel as they prepare to enter the Promised Land. He reminds them that the decisions they make will shape the direction of their lives.
But this portion goes far beyond one decision.
God calls His people to worship Him alone, remain grounded in His truth, open their hands to those in need, and remember His faithfulness through His appointed times.
The Hebrew word Re’eh (רְאֵה) means “See!” or “Behold!” God was placing the choice clearly before Israel—and calling them to recognize where each path would lead.
Yeshua gave a similar invitation when He spoke about the narrow way that leads to life.
Following God is not simply a decision we made once. It is a choice we make every day.
