As we write this, we are in Jerusalem—the city of the Great King.
Jerusalem holds deep meaning for believers in Jesus. This is the city where He walked, taught, prayed, suffered, died, and rose again. The Gospel was first proclaimed here, and from this place the message of salvation went out to the nations. Being in Jerusalem reminds us that our faith is rooted in real history and in God’s faithfulness to fulfill His promises.
This city has witnessed centuries of prayer, struggle, destruction, and restoration. Through exile and return, Jerusalem has remained central to God’s redemptive plan. It stands as a testimony that what God establishes, He sustains, and what He promises, He brings to completion.
From here, our hearts turn toward you.
We want you to know that we are praying for you. Not only for the peace of Jerusalem, but for shalom in your life—peace that comes from knowing Jesus as Lord, peace that guards the heart and strengthens the soul. Many believers today are walking through uncertainty, pressure, and fatigue. From Jerusalem, we lift you before the Lord and ask Him to renew your strength and encourage your faith.
“Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: ‘May those who love you be secure.’”
Psalms 122:6
Jerusalem reminds us that God is faithful to His Word.
The Scriptures make clear that the Lord is not finished with this city or with His people. The covenant promises of God stand, and His purposes continue to unfold before our eyes. For followers of Jesus, Jerusalem also points us to the fulfillment of those promises in the Messiah—through His life, death, and resurrection.
When we stand here, the Bible feels close and personal. The early believers gathered here. The Holy Spirit was poured out here. From here, the Church was born. These truths remind us that the same God who worked powerfully in the first century is still at work today, building His Kingdom and calling people to Himself.
Jerusalem also directs our eyes forward.
The prophets speak of the return of Jesus and of His reign from this city. This future hope anchors us in difficult times. It reminds us that history is moving toward restoration, not confusion—and that the Lord remains in control.
As we stand in Jerusalem, we are deeply thankful for you. We thank God for your prayers, your love for Israel, and your faithfulness to the Gospel. Though many of you are far away geographically, you are close to us in heart and in mission.
From Jerusalem, we bless you with peace.
From Jerusalem, we thank God for your partnership.
From Jerusalem, we pray that the Lord will guard your heart and guide your steps.
In uncertain times, Jerusalem reminds us of an unchanging truth: Jesus reigns. He is faithful, His Word stands firm, and His purposes will be fulfilled.
May this encourage you today.
May your faith be strengthened.
And may the peace of Christ rest upon you and your household.
