There are seasons when God calls us away from the busyness of life, not to leave us in isolation, but to meet us in a deeper, more intimate way. The desert has always been a place of transformation in Scripture. A place where God speaks clearly, shapes character, and draws hearts closer to His own. That’s exactly what we experienced this past weekend during our Youth Discipleship Camp in the wilderness near Eilat—and we’re overjoyed to share this powerful testimony with you.
Just after celebrating Passover, we felt led to take our youth into the desert—the very region where the children of Israel once wandered for forty years. It was more than symbolic. It was intentional. As they walked through the same terrain their ancestors did, these young people weren’t just remembering history—they were stepping into a living encounter with the God of their forefathers.
Under the vast desert sky, far from screens and noise, our youth experienced something profound. For three days, they hiked, worshipped, prayed, and studied the Word together. They laughed around the campfire, encouraged one another through challenging hikes, and discovered how to hear the still, small voice of God in the silence. The simplicity of the desert created sacred space for honest conversations, deep connections, and real discipleship.
One of the greatest joys of the weekend was welcoming five new teens into the group—young hearts hungry for truth and longing for belonging. It was a beautiful reminder that God is always expanding His family. And in the spirit of unity, we also invited a youth group from Eilat to join us. Teens who began the weekend as strangers ended it as brothers and sisters in Christ. It was a picture of the unity that Jesus prayed for in John 17—different communities coming together as one Body, rooted in love and truth.
This wasn’t just a weekend getaway. It was a strategic time of sowing into the next generation. In a world that constantly bombards them with confusion, compromise, and chaos, we are committed to giving our youth a clear and firm foundation in the Word of God. To teach them what it truly means to follow Jesus—not just in theory, but in real life. In their schools, their friendships, their thoughts, and their futures.
One teen shared, “I came to the desert with questions, but I left knowing who to bring them to—Jesus.”
Another said, “This wasn’t just a break from the world. It was a breakthrough in my relationship with God.”
These testimonies are the fruit of your prayers, your support, and your faithfulness. Every donation, every intercession, every word of encouragement helped make this camp possible. You didn’t just send youth to the desert—you helped lead them into a fresh encounter with the living God.
