Honoring Israel’s Holocaust Survivors this Memorial Week

This week in Israel we will be remembering the 6 million Jews murdered in the Holocaust by the Nazi death machine simply for being Jewish.

The state of Israel is not a random act in history, it was the fulfillment of prophecy, God’s restoration of His nation from the ashes of the Holocaust after 2000 years of exile.

Today, with so many survivors gone, those that remain among us struggle more than they deserve to.

A way to honor the memory of those who perished is to dignify and honor the living ones.

In this solemn week of remembering, we strive to do more. There’s no justice in an elderly Holocaust survivor having to choose between groceries for the week or medication.

Currently there are 150,600 Holocaust survivors living in Israel, with approximately 40,000 living below the poverty line.

That’s where you and I come in.

Through our Holocaust memorial humanitarian relief campaign our goal is to feed hundreds of survivors who struggle not only with providing for their basic needs, but also with acute loneliness. Many of them live alone, some with no family at all.

When we show kindness to these precious people, it’s not just about the practical aid, it’s about a loving hand, an embrace, a sense of importance.

If there was anything Yeshua showed us on the cross was that each and every one of us mattered to him. He sees the individual. He is the shepherd that will leave the 99 to go find the one that’s lost. That is the heart of God, and what we want to give to our dear Holocaust survivors.

This week as part of Holocaust Memorial, join us in restoring dignity to them, in reflecting God’s love, letting them feel seen, heard, remembered and honored while still alive.

For a donation of $30 for each food box, our team will not only deliver each one of them the food you helped provide, they will also gladly give them a loving hug in your name, so that they know you were driven by the love of Christ.
