Being a blessing to someone in need is a humbling privilege that the Lord gives us when we open our hearts in gratitude for all He has done and provided. This holiday season, as we faced ongoing hardships, challenges, and overwhelming needs within our community, our heartfelt desire was to be the answer to someone’s prayers. It was from this deep sense of compassion and calling that our Hanukkah humanitarian project was born.
This year, we had the joy of blessing hundreds of families and children, providing much-needed holiday relief aid, care packages, festive gifts for children, and a warm, celebratory atmosphere. It wasn’t just about meeting practical needs—it was about giving hope, encouragement, and the reassurance that they are loved.
These gatherings reminded us of the true meaning of Hanukkah and Christmas: the light of God’s presence overcoming the darkness.
During times of war and uncertainty, such events become especially significant. In the midst of fear and loss, people need to feel seen, valued, and supported. Walking among these precious families, holding their hands, hearing their stories, and praying for them was a gift to our hearts as much as it was to theirs. The grateful smiles, heartfelt tears, and testimonies of hope were clear evidence of God’s love in action among His people.
This year’s Hanukkah celebrations were made even more special by the presence of dear international friends who traveled from overseas to be with us. Their presence spoke volumes to the Jewish people, reaffirming that they were not alone. To see believers from around the world standing shoulder to shoulder with us was a powerful testimony of unity and faith in action. It was a vivid reminder that God’s family transcends borders and languages, binding us together with love for Israel and His people.
