Those who have been to Israel know the incredible blessing and privilege it is to stand in Jerusalem and proclaim God’s word for Jerusalem, praying and believing that what He promised for this city will come to pass.
Zechariah 1:16 — “Therefore thus says the LORD: “I am returning to Jerusalem with mercy”
God Himself is returning to Jerusalem, but this time not with judgment, but with mercy.
Zechariah 1:17 — “Again proclaim, saying, ‘Thus says the LORD of hosts: “My cities shall again spread out through prosperity; The LORD will again comfort Zion, And will again choose Jerusalem.”
When you are reading prophecies in the Bible, it’s so important to pause and to proclaim God’s word; speak it out loud into eternity!
Make it your own prayer next time you’re praying for your family, city, community or your nation, remember Jerusalem because God remembers Jerusalem and He is returning to her with His mercy.
When the Lord says that He will again choose Jerusalem, it means He will also choose you because you are His child.
Through the city of Jerusalem and all of God’s miracles for this city, He will reveal His glory to the nations, as well as to us; the partakers of His eternal promises.
In Israel the first sign of spring is the blossoming of almond trees. Their beautiful flower reminds us of God’s unfailing promises. It is the same flower that was in the Arc of the Covenant. It comes to remind us of God’s promises, covenants and is a powerful symbol of His faithfulness to His own Word.
What an amazingly prophetic times to be living in!
Remember, when you’re praying for Jerusalem, when you read God’s promises and are proclaiming His word over His eternal city; anointing will simultaneously come over your own life, and you will be edified and encouraged, because the same anointing the works to restore Jerusalem works in your own life to restore what was broken. In the Name of Yeshua!
Blessings from Jerusalem — the City of the Great King
