“For You have been a strength to the poor,
A strength to the needy in his distress,
A refuge from the storm,
A shade from the heat”
Isaiah 25:4
So many promises of God to Israel are being fulfilled even as we speak. However, there are still many needs in this tiny nation so precious in God’s heart. Single mothers, Holocaust survivors, and newly immigrated Jewish families that are returning to their ancient homeland and who are starting from scratch with so many needs.
It is part of our calling, as well as identity as believers in Yeshua to show kindness to those who need it most, whether it’s with medical equipment, food care packages, clothes, furniture, house essentials, or even shoes for children, which we gifted earlier this week to over 50 kids — anything and everything that is within our reach.
With so many families arriving in Israel in the past months, either fleeing the horrors of war in Ukraine, or the mass oppressions in Russia, we have been meeting countless families that have needed anything and everything once they arrived in Israel since they had to leave everything behind.
Kids whose parents simply cannot afford to buy them sports shoes, something they cannot do without at a young age.
It was such a profound joy to see the excitement on the children’s faces when they opened their shoe boxes, and the gratitude in their parents’ eyes, astonished and humbled to learn God loves them enough to take care of their needs.
It was also an important moment when we got to lay the foundations for enduring friendship and invited the parents to our services and future projects to which they happily agreed.
It is in great part because of friends like you, who have also embraced God’s calling to be a blessing to His nation! Your kindness and generosity are sustaining so many families, that it is overwhelming to see their emotional faces and grateful testimonies of just how much your part has made an impact, changing their lives through the love of God.
If you haven’t done so yet, I want to encourage you to become a blessing to Israel in a practical way; to pray, to give, to care and to release His love over people in need.
Could there be a greater calling than to reflect his light, goodness, and love to His nation, Israel, through practical means?
Together we are touching and will touch so many lives, becoming a light in the darkness to countless Israelis.
