While ministering to our youth at our Galilee Discipleship Retreat, I took time to drive around the Galilee and even go up to the Golan Heights – Israel’s northern border – to pray.
For the past few months, Israel’s northern communities have been under non-stop rocket fire and attacks from Lebanon. A day hasn’t gone by without alarms sounding, alerting us to missiles, rockets, and drones fired by Hezbollah from Lebanon, targeting the Galilee and Golan Heights.
In times of war, you truly understand the remarkable power of prayer. We can never underestimate the tremendous power prayer holds; because when we pray, miracles happen.
We arrived in Galilee with our youth team and started engaging in powerful prayer for peace and protection during our youth retreat, so our team would be safe from the constant rocket attacks.
Amazing things happen when you pray. God answered our prayers in an amazing way: it was the first night in many months that not a single rocket was fired. The alarms didn’t go off even once, and it was a quiet and peaceful night here in the Galilee.
When we personally go to the places where we need to see miracles, God’s intervention, and peace, He will use our prayers in a remarkably powerful way.
Driving around the Sea of Galilee and going up to the Golan Heights, while our entire country is at war, I witnessed terrible sights of burned fields and communities hit by rocket fire. Yet, my heart was at total peace.
I’m reminded of Yeshua’s peace when He was exhausted and fell asleep on the boat during a storm. The disciples were gripped with fear and panic, but Yeshua slept soundly and peacefully through a raging storm, showing us what true peace of God in our hearts can accomplish, even in the midst of the most turbulent circumstances.
Yeshua didn’t allow the storm to dictate His course; rather, He spoke to the storm to still it. That is how our prayers work in the turbulence of our lives—miracles happen, and storms are stilled by the power of prayer.
Keep praying! Don’t give up, even if you don’t see results right away. Never stop praying; the answer will come at exactly the right time.
Don’t stop praying for Israel and her peace according to the Bible.
Currently, from a country plagued with war, as I drive around rocket-stricken Galilee, we are lifting you and your loved ones up in prayer from this land, asking for God’s supernatural shalom (peace) to be your portion.
May the same supernatural peace we experience in the midst of the most turbulent storm Israel has ever known fill your heart and thoughts, taking away the stress and attacks you are experiencing in your own life.
Know that on this journey, even through the storms and hardships you are facing, Yeshua is in the same boat with you, and His peace is enough to calm any storm in your life, just as it is enough to calm the storm in Israel, even when everything around us seems to be burning.
Take a deep breath and ask the Lord to come and restore His peace in you, and ask the Holy Spirit to release His comfort in your heart.
Pray for us as we pray for you, and we will see God’s glory shining more brightly and stronger than ever. From glory to glory, from strength to strength.
