Remember Who Provided for You | This Week’s Torah Reading

What happens when the wilderness is over and life begins to go well?

Sometimes our greatest spiritual danger is not hardship, but blessing.

In this week’s Torah portion, Parashat Eikev (Deuteronomy 7:12–11:25), Moses prepares Israel to enter the Promised Land. He reminds the people how God carried them through the wilderness, provided manna when they were hungry, protected them, and remained faithful even when they failed Him.

But Moses also gives them a serious warning: when you enter the land, prosper, and have everything you need—do not forget the Lord.

This message speaks powerfully to us today. Whether we are walking through a wilderness season or enjoying a season of blessing, everything we have ultimately comes from God.

In this teaching, Pastor Israel Pochtar explores:

• The connection between obedience and blessing.
• Why God allowed Israel to experience the wilderness.
• What manna teaches us about depending upon God.
• Why prosperity can become a spiritual danger.
• What Israel’s failures teach us about grace and humility.
• How Yeshua calls us to trust God rather than earthly possessions.
• What it means to love and serve the Lord wholeheartedly.

Parashat Eikev reminds us that God is the One who has carried us, provided for us, and sustained us. Remembering His faithfulness keeps our hearts humble and strengthens us to trust Him in every season.
