RescUA Mission to Ukraine — Choosing to be Light in the Midst of Darkness
As our team closes the first week of their RescUA Mission to Ukraine, delivering crucial and much needed humanitarian relief in most impacted areas, we look at their documented journey so far and we are humbled that God has enabled us to do so much for so many, largely thanks to your unconditional and ongoing generous support.
Sometimes you might think that when you give from the little that you have, it won’t have a big impact. However when you see this video, and realize how far and wide even the smallest donation reaches, and how much you are blessing people who are suffering more than you can imagine — you know what you’ve done isn’t ordinary, it’s extraordinary.
It’s one thing to see the devastation and destruction from a safe distance, but once our team arrived and faced just how profound the devastation is, how deep the need is — they knew this mission had God’s heart all over it.
To be able to bring crucial humanitarian aid such as generators, blankets, heaters and food to people who are quite literally sitting in darkness right now, without electricity or heat, and to see their tears of pain and gratitude, we couldn’t possibly turn our backs on that kind of suffering. You wouldn’t even need to ask yourself “what would Jesus do?”, we know His heart and character, He showed us what He has done and what we need to do for others.
The journey isn’t over yet, and our team doesn’t rest, their mission is to reach, to help, to hug and help restore a sense of hope. To see people’s tear stricken faces, to be able to cry with them, encourage them, laugh with them and hold them close to our hearts while we have this opportunity, is invaluable!
We are only able to do it thanks to your generous help! Whatever you are able to give, know that it does a world of difference to so many hurting people our team is reaching right now.
Donate today, so that in the midst of great darkness we can chose to reflect Jesus, and be a great light.
