As Israel finds itself in the midst of war, the need for a secure refuge becomes more urgent than ever. In times like these, a bomb shelter is not just a physical necessity, but a lifeline, offering protection and peace of mind.

Interestingly, the role of a bomb shelter closely mirrors that of the church of God.

The bomb shelter serves as a dual sanctuary of safety — one for the body and the other for the spirit. This parallel is particularly meaningful in Israel, where the importance of a bomb shelter cannot be overstated.

This shelter, hidden beneath buildings, is a genuine, professional bomb shelter with solid walls and multiple passages for escape in case of a building collapse. It’s a place where people can feel safe from any war, terrorist attack, or missile barrage. 

For many years, this bomb shelter has not only served as a place of physical safety but also especially as a space dedicated to glorifying God. Within these walls, countless wonderful things have taken place — Bible studies, worship services, and the sharing of the message of Yeshua (Jesus).  The memories created here are precious and this shelter has been a cornerstone of the community’s spiritual life.

However, time has taken its toll.

The shelter is now worn out, damaged, and in desperate need of renovation. It’s no longer the stronghold it once was, and the time has come to restore it, so that it can once again be filled with worship, prayers, and new experiences of God’s presence.

With Israel at war, it’s crucial to have this bomb shelter ready and functional. But right now, it’s out of commission. We need your help, dear friends, to prepare this space for worship and the glory of God.
