Shavuot Evangelism
Harvest in Critical Times

On the Sunday during Passover, a new count begins – 50 days to harvest, which is marked by the Feast of Shavuot in the Bible, also known as Pentecost (“Fiftieth day” in Greek), and it celebrates the first-fruits of the harvest. 

After Jesus’ resurrection, He told His disciples to stay in Jerusalem and wait for God’s move. So they did, for fifty days, until finally on the 50th day God poured out His Holy Spirit on the believers in Jerusalem. It was no coincidence that it happened on Shavuot — Feast of the Harvest. 

On multiple occasions, Yeshua mentioned the subject of harvest, when speaking about the fields being ready to be harvested, and the need to pray for the Lord of the Harvest to send out workers into the fields.  When the Holy Spirit was poured out on the day of Shavuot in Jerusalem, it marked a symbolic beginning of the harvest of God’s first fruits — first disciples. Millions more were to come after them. 

In these turbulent times, when Israel’s very existence is tried and tested, preaching the Good News of Yeshua is one of the most important things we can do, especially during this upcoming Shavuot (Pentecost). 

Organizing our evangelism campaign takes a lot, but it is an incredibly powerful tool for reaching Jewish people with the gospel and God’s redeeming love of God in these critical times. 

Our upcoming evangelism event will take place on Shavuot, the day of God’s divine harvest. 

Pray and stand in faith with us that God will pour out His Holy Spirit in a powerful way on everyone in attendance.  Being able to provide people with the opportunity to hear the gospel and encounter the Lord takes a lot of investing. But if not now, when? 

How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? 
And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? 
And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? 
And how can anyone preach unless they are sent? 
As it is written: “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!”

Romans 10:14

Recognizing the times we’re living in is crucial because we are the ones God has sent out into His fields to collect His harvest.
