As the first week of our Summer for God Youth Discipleship Program comes to a close, we’re already seeing something remarkable unfold.
This isn’t just another summer activity. It’s a sacred season—where Israeli youth are encountering God, discovering their identity in Yeshua, and stepping into a deeper sense of purpose. What started years ago as a simple gathering has become a powerful movement of discipleship, transformation, and mission.
A New Generation Awakening
Summer for God is Beit Hallel’s annual discipleship program, designed to train, equip, and ignite young believers across Israel. It’s a place where teens are not only taught the Word of God, but also empowered to live it out—boldly, joyfully, and without compromise.
Each day is filled with worship, in-depth Bible study, small groups, service projects, leadership training, and life-giving friendships. But more than anything, it’s filled with the presence of God.
In just one week, we’ve already seen hearts softened, faith stirred, and lives changed.
From Curiosity to Calling
One of our young leaders, Lena, stood up during a session and shared her story—a testimony that encapsulates the heart of this program.
Four years ago, she arrived in Israel as a non-believer, searching for meaning. Within her first week, she found herself at Summer for God.
“I didn’t know God. I wasn’t even looking for Him. But through this project, I met Him. He changed my life. And now, four years later, I’m helping lead it. I believe the same will happen for others this summer—just like it did for me.”
Her transformation is a reminder that God is faithful to meet those who seek Him, even if they don’t yet realize they’re searching.
“So is My word that goes out from My mouth: it will not return to Me empty, but will accomplish what I desire…”

Faith in Action: Serving the Poor
Discipleship isn’t just about head knowledge—it’s about living out the heart of the Gospel. This week, our youth put their faith into action by preparing food packages for families in need through Beit Hallel’s humanitarian outreach.
“It was my favorite part,” a teen named Amelia shared. “We weren’t just talking about love—we were actually doing something about it.”
In a culture that often pushes young people to focus on themselves, these teens are learning something radically different: the joy of serving others. They’re discovering that faith is not passive—it’s active, generous, and compassionate.
Their actions reflect the heart of God as described in Deuteronomy:
“He defends the cause of the fatherless and the widow, and loves the foreigner… You are to love those who are foreigners.”
Deuteronomy 10:18–19
This is what it means to be a disciple—not only to know the Word but to live it out.
Encountering God in the Land of the Bible
There’s something truly special about walking out your faith in the land where the Bible happened.
Throughout the week, the youth visited key biblical sites, opened Scripture in the very places where it was first spoken, and experienced the beauty of God’s promises coming alive.
“We go to holy places. We learn the Bible. And everywhere we go, it’s just… joyful,” a teen named Alex shared. “There’s something different here.”
This joy isn’t shallow or fleeting. It’s the deep joy that comes from being in God’s presence.
“In Your presence is fullness of joy; at Your right hand are pleasures forevermore.”
Psalm 16:11
These aren’t just field trips—they’re spiritual encounters, shaping the way this generation sees Scripture, sees themselves, and sees the God who called them.
A Generation on Fire
This week has been more than a good start—it’s a spark that’s setting hearts ablaze.
We’re watching a generation rise up with boldness, purity, and passion. They’re worshiping with abandon, praying with authority, and stepping out in faith—unafraid to share their testimonies or serve sacrificially.
They’re not waiting for tomorrow. They’re choosing to follow Yeshua today.
“Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity.”
1 Timothy 4:12
This is our calling—to walk with them, invest in them, and believe with them as they step into their God-given destiny.
Keep Following the Journey
This is just the beginning of what God is doing through Summer for God. Week by week, story by story, we’ll continue to share how He is awakening hearts and equipping a generation to carry His light across Israel and beyond.
