For I will take you from among the nations, gather you out of all countries, and bring you into your own land.
Ezekiel 36:24
When we speak about God gathering the Jewish people from the nations and bringing them back into their own land, we speak about a process that is ongoing, to this day — 75 years after the birth of the State of Israel.
Aliyah is something akin to immigration, but has a rather unique component to it, because it is more of a gathering and return, rather than just a switching of countries. There’s something profoundly historic about specifically Jews returning to Israel.
When we speak about supporting Olim (returning Jews), it is partnering with God in fulfilling His ancient promise given through prophets to His people.
Seventy years after Yeshua ascended into heaven the people of Israel were scattered. Now, 75 years after the establishment of the state of Israel, people of Israel are still returning to their ancient homeland.
How could we not support it or be a part of it in any way we could, if it directly supports God’s will, promise and purpose.
One of the many ways to support families of Olim during their first season in Israel is through one of our summer projects: “Starting school in Israel”.
While Israeli kids are on summer holiday, many struggling parents of kids that are about to start school in Israel for the first time since making Aliyah are thinking how they are going to provide them with the school supplies before the summer ends?
The cost of living has skyrocketed, and in Israel, which is an expensive country to begin with, it is now felt more than ever, especially by Olim, who are barely making ends meet as it is.
Our “First Time to School in Israel” summer project seeks to provide these families with backpacks, school supplies and textbooks for the new school year, as most of these kids of new Jewish Immigrants will be enrolling in school for the very first time in Israel.
One of the ways you can actively support the return of Jewish people to Israel is by supporting projects like this, that aim to provide practical solutions to families that are taking their first steps and are trying to find their foothold in their ancient homeland.
A donation of $100 provides one child with a backpack, school supplies and some textbooks they need for the upcoming school year.
Consider supporting Aliyah and returning Jewish families to Israel!
